Joint Interagency Task Force 401 is a transformational moment in counter-drone (C-UAV) history. The last time I saw something similar was for MRAPS back during the second war in Iraq. It went from 0 to 50B in one year so things can move quick! Here is my list of companies that I own and why in order of strongest to least conviction:
1) $EOS.AX – Love the company and the tech. The make a hard-kill solution for both the battlefield with 30MM proximity fuse and 150kw laser for critical infrastructure. They have a plant in the U.S. and scale to meet the military demand.
2) $LASR – They are working on a 1mw laser and have worked on a much smaller system that was put on Strker vehicle. You get potential transformational ballistic missile protection and battlefield C-UAV
3) $LPATH – They make both cameras for drones but also a unique camera that can detect drones and the air moment they cause. Also, does not rely on exotic rare earths from China
4) $MRCY & $DRS – They make sensors and make specialized processing equipment that will end up in any solution
5) $AVAV – With the blue halo acquisition the now own a lot of EW IP and have extensive experience working with drones.
6) $SPXC – A third, and fastest growing, of there business relates to counter drone EW.
7) $LDOS & $TDY– I own them for multiple reason besides just C-UAV. However, I expect they will have a seat at the table as a system integrator.
