Who cares if your squat went up? If it doesn’t make you faster, more explosive, or better at your sport…it’s meaningless. Before you rush to judgement…my athletes all lift and all get “stronger.” However, I’m not overly concerned with these numbers, I’m most concerned with

how it all relates to their sport/goal. I don’t care if your squat goes from 315 to 350 if you’re still slow off the line, if your accel mechanics haven’t improved, or if you can’t sustain high velocity efforts. Strength is a tool, not the end goal. That’s why I also think in

terms of contraction types…eccentric, isometric, concentric…and how each one shows up in sprinting and sport. That’s why I look at joint angles, force vectors, and time to force application, etc. I cover these contractions more in both of these products -

The Art & Science of Sport Preparation and Speed Kills. This is the nuance missing in most programs. It’s not “lift heavy and hope it carries over.” It’s about understanding biomechanics, understanding the biodynamics of sprinting, and programming in a way that actually

moves the needle where it counts. And this is exactly what I give you in Speed Kills. It’s not another template, it’s a full system How to break down acceleration, max velocity, and speed endurance step by step How to use strength, plyometrics, resisted sprints, and

isometrics with transfer in mind How to blend training so athletes get faster without being overcooked Why general capacity matters and how to make sure it actually shows up in sport fredduncantraining.com/product/speed-…
