Super Paper Mario being somehow important for Deltarune's Finale: A Comparative Not-So-Analysis. #DELTARUNE #deltarunespoilers [3/8].

It's Chapters 3-4 where my crazy-ass rambling is probably gonna get torn to shreds (argumentatively-speaking) but whatever...

Chapter 3 involves one character related to the protagonist being kidnapped at the beginning (or before). Said character is not seen again until the main boss is beaten. The main boss makes presence in the mere beginning too.

Francis and Tenna, while different in almost every way, they share an important characteristic: They're lonely control freaks who rely on entertainment.

While the execution of Chapter Three is VERY different in each game, a common theme on both is the homage to "Nintendo Classics".

Deltarune's Chapter 3 makes several homages to The Legend of Zelda for the NES. Both in the main story and in the Sword Route.

Super Paper Mario's Chapter 3, on the other hand, makes homage to the original Super Mario Bros. for the NES... Or well, at least on its first two sections.

In relation to a "general storyline", even the orders somehow match (at least for the Sword Route). - The 1st area looks similar to the ones they make homage of. - The 2nd area involves moving through water to reach a certain goal.

And the 3rd area involves a boss fight against a dark entity.

The fight against the main boss of this chapter involves the use of minigames, whether before the fight (Swoon.exe) or in the middle of it (Minigame ACT).

Of course, the ending of each "chapter three" is way different from each other, but still, the chapter ends with our heroes fulfilling another part of "The Prophecy".
