First, some context… Czechia has a fascinating history spanning: - Medieval Kingdom of Bohemia - Industrial heart of Austro-Hungarian Empire - 1989 Velvet Revolution peacefully overthrowing communism It's become a quietly thriving country that chooses freedom over conformity.
A small country that has a fascinating resume… - Lower unemployment than the US (2.6% vs 3.7%) - Highest global beer consumption for 31+ years - 2nd most castles in Europe An impressive country that's super under the radar. Here are 8 reasons why you should take notice:
1. Tax-Friendly: - 0% wealth, inheritance, or gift taxes - 21% corporate tax (below France, Germany, Italy) - Foreign dividend exemptions available A business-friendly EU jurisdiction. But bureaucracy can still be challenge here.

Czechia could also be a European crypto pioneer once more. It’s currently the only country in Europe openly considering buying Bitcoin as part of its reserve management strategy If approved, the CNB could eventually hold as much as 5% of its €140bn of reserves in Bitcoin.

Some of the downsides: - Some language barrier (though English common in Prague) - Bureaucracy can be slow (improving with digitization) - Cold winters and limited sunshine + landlocked - Rising prices in Prague Not for tropical weather lovers, but perfect for those prioritizing substance.
Czechia vs. EU Neighbors: - Lower corporate taxes than Germany and France - Better safety record than Western European capitals - Faster startup ecosystem than most Eastern Europe One of the Goldilocks of Central Europe? Definitely worth considering!
Recent developments: - 2024 brought continued economic stability - Government pushing digitization initiatives - Prague hosting major crypto and tech conferences - New programs attracting international entrepreneurs This momentum reinforces Czechia's emergence as a tech hub.
Personally, I keep hearing amazing things about Prague from founders and digital nomads who've discovered the crypto scene there. Just came back from BTC Prague and was blown away by the city. The food? Incredible. The beer? Wonderful. I'd move to Prague tomorrow no problem!
