PTH causes the body to eat it's bone for the minerals, Calcitonin does the opposite and grows the bones thread on PTH:Calcitonin ratio and height-growth🧵

when people talk about height growth, almost ALWAYS 'growth hormone' is mentioned, which is probably because of it's name, if somatotropin was the common name we used, it almost wouldn't be discussed regarding height. and funnily enough, PTH and it's antagonist Calcitonin are NEVER mentioned. bare in mind this is the hormone which controls whether bone is produced or broken down. PTH also controls other hormones such as T3, Testosterone, DHT and Estrogen

PTH, Calcitonin and the mineralization of bone when your body has an abundance of minerals, it will store calcium, magnesium and other trace minerals as reserves in the bones, bone anabolism can only occur with sufficient mineral levels, with calcium being of main importance to bone. PTH and Calcitonin are regulators of calcium metabolism when your body isn't getting the minerals it needs from the diet, or calcium metabolism is impaired (due to Fluoride for example), PTH rises in response, PTH signals to Osteoclasts to start breaking down bone for the minerals which are stored in it. when your body IS getting the minerals it needs from the diet (with calcium metabolism being optimal), Calcitonin will rise, this rise in Calcitonin triggers Osteoblasts to start laying down the 'extra' minerals in new bone tissue. PTH causes bone tissue to be broken down Calcitonin causes new bone tissue to be produced so preferably, you'd want to reduce PTH and increase calcitonin

improving Calcium metabolism is key to obtain an optimal PTH:Calcitonin ratio 1. make sure an abundance of Calcium exists in the diet, through foods that have a low amount of Phosphate, Phosphate ions tend to bind to Calcium ions, reducing calcium availability and causing PTH to rise even when calcium intake is abundant. my favourite Calcium sources are eggshells and milk. 2. make sure all cofactors that play a role in Calcium metabolism are abundant through diet/lifestyle as well, this would include magnesium, boron, molybdenum etc. I have a few go-to tools to ensure my mineral intake is always in check: - nettle tea - topical magnesium chloride - coconut water/birch water - sardines - calfs liver - oysters - bee pollen - shilajit improving Calcium metabolism makes sure the need for Calcium is slightly reduced, because the body utulizes the mineral better. additional aids in improving Calcium metabolism beyond minerals: - vitamin D3 (sunlight) - vitamin K2 (goose liver and natto) - co2 (buteyko breathing, thiamine, niacine, baking soda) - lactoferrin (raw milk and colostrum) 3. avoid anything that can mess up Calcium metabolism. This means avoiding the consumption of excess minerals that tend to slow down Calcium metabolism. The biggest one is Fluoride, just like Phosphate, Fluoride ions bind to calcium ions making the body unable to use the Calcium ions, it's not without reason that there's a direct relation between tap water Fluoride amounts and population PTH levels. - swap Fluoride toothpaste for an alternative (theobromine toothpaste or Miswaak) - consume Tamarind to excrete Fluoride - avoid tap water - have an abundance of Silica in the diet (<a target="_blank" href="https://x.com/aestheticprimal/status/1891469777081717047" color="blue">x.com/aestheticprima…</a>) - have an abundance of Boron in the diet (<a target="_blank" href="https://x.com/aestheticprimal/status/1915352492679872971" color="blue">x.com/aestheticprima…</a>) then you'll have additional things, such as lowering excessive Prolactin, which is pretty easily done by keeping Sodium intake at a good abundant level, not jacking off and having high Dopamine levels, one could even cycle dopaminergic herbs such as Cistanche, Gingko Biloba and Mucuna Pruriens as additional tool. Also be aware that if you supplement Lithium orotate (which is good) that you don't go above a 5mg dosage, since that tends to mess with PTH levels as well.
