“Hyung! I can’t see a thing,” Jungkook giggles. Taehyung had said he had a surprise and brought him somewhere unfamiliar. Jungkook can only hear the ocean in the background.
As Taehyung removes the blindfold, Jungkook takes a deep breath. He’s greeted with a breathtaking view: a small dining setup with a table for two under a wooden pergola draped with white curtains. The table is elegantly set with glasses, food, a cake, and candles.
The area around them glow softly, adorned with golden fairy lights and lanterns. In the background, the ocean stretches out with gentle waves kissing the shore.

“Come on,” Taehyung softly takes Jungkook’s hand and pulls out a chair for him to sit. Taehyung settles into the chair across from him. “Is it some anniversary that I’m forgetting, hyung?” Jungkook asks, tilting his head playfully. Taehyung just smiles and shakes his head.
They start talking. Jungkook tells him all about the art show and how much he missed Taehyung and Sara. Taehyung shares stories from work and laughs about how Sara has been begging for a pet. Jungkook devours the food, furrowing his eyebrows—a sure sign that it’s delicious.
When it’s finally time for the champagne, Taehyung feels a wave of nervousness wash over him. Jin walks up with the champagne glasses, setting them on the table with a wink at Taehyung.
“Hyung!” Jungkook giggles, glancing at Jin. “What is this?” “You’ll see,” Jin smiles and steps away. Jungkook already knows that Taehyung’s friends are here too—Yoongi and Jimin are planning to join them later.
“Where’s Sara?” Jungkook asks as he takes a sip of champagne. Taehyung gulps nervously. “Um, she’s with Namjoon hyung, probably playing.” “You could have asked her to join us, hyung.” “Aww, do you miss her, baby?” Taehyung teases.
Jungkook scrunches his nose in response, about to reply, but then he starts coughing—more like choking. Shit. Taehyung knew the chances of Jungkook choking were high. He immediately rushes over, patting Jungkook’s back. “Shit, baby…”
Jungkook keeps coughing, and finally, the ring falls into Taehyung’s palm. Jungkook looks at it with teary, furrowed eyebrows. “What?” he whispers, still catching his breath.
It’s time. Taehyung drops to one knee, the ring trembling in his hand. “Ju-Jungkook, w-will you marry me?” Jungkook stares with wide eyes, and then his face breaks into the biggest smile.
He starts crying, nodding frantically. “Yes, yes, yes, hyung!” He falls into Taehyung’s arms so easily, like he’s coming back home.
They barely get a moment together before more arms wrap around them. Jin, Namjoon, Hoseok, Yoongi, Jimin, and of course, Sara—all of them join in the hug. Jungkook half laughs, half cries as he hugs them back.
