This is his philosophy:
1. "The worth of a good man is not measured in money." Humans worship rich people. But how much money you make has nothing to do with whether you're happy. A lot of rich people are miserable. Choose meaning instead.
2. "I've always chosen the non-standard path through life. For a long time I was ashamed of this, of being weird. But I've started to see that "weird" is the edge of human civilization creating something new. So, be weird and be kind, the universe is waiting to see what we create."
F*ck being normal • Go to school • Get into debt for a degree • Get a good job • Get into more debt to buy home • Retire at 65 then die The default path is madness. Choose to be weird.
3. "99% of Zoom meetings could be replaced with an email." • Do fewer meetings • Learn to get to the point • Respect your time • Say "no" more often After 30+ years, email still works the best
4. "It is becoming harder and harder to know what is true." You cannot trust mainstream media. Even celebrities & corporate CEOs are full of sh*t. Do your own research. Choose independent media sources like X & Sub$tack.
5. "Money, power, and fame seem to often reveal the true character of people, the best and the worst." Forget about being famous. Some of the worst humans on the planet are famous. Too much ego will ruin your life. Choose to be silent & make enough money to disappear.
6. "Consciousness is more important than intelligence." I think about this every day. It's true wisdom. • Intelligence is being told what to think. • Consciousness is transcendence into being connected to humanity & operating in daily flow
7. "Don't idolize anyone. We're all just flawed humans." Your heroes will disappoint you & you're an idiot if you expect any other outcome. Stop worshipping others and work on yourself. 1% better each day. Then... Become a person of influence & start a positive movement. That's success.
8. "F*ck cynicism. Humans are awesome. There is no problem we can't solve. We will find a way." If you come across negative haters, convert them. Life is too short to be a loser. Humans can literally do anything. This is the greatest time in history. Be optimistic.
9. "Tribalism sucks." The media & politicians turned us against each other. It's time we realize we're all on the same team. Worshipping some stupid tribe makes you dumber.
10. "Nobody has life figured out." If someone seems to be overly confident and successful, they're probably delusional. So act with more humility. Be kind to others. Keep working on your goals. Block out the noise.
11. "Some of the most brilliant people I've ever met never finished school." College helps you follow the rules & memorize information. But it often doesn't help you think. It's why society is mindless. Choose self-education. Use your curiosity to choose topics to study.
12. "Silencing ‘wrong’ ideas will eventually destroy our ability to discover the truth." Be extremely careful of the "misinformation" nanny police. Censoring is a form of control. Everyone has the right to freedom of speech, especially the people you dislike. Discussing bad ideas is how we shut them down.
13. "I look for the good in people. Sometimes I get hurt for it, but it's rare and it's worth it. You may hear me say optimistic things that sound naive. I'm not naive. I've read too much history to be naive. I just think love wins out over the darker parts of human nature in the end."
14. "All humans are capable of both good and evil And most who do evil believe they are doing good. History shows this over and over again." The virtue signallers are the most evil. They use so-called acts of good to upgrade their status & make more money at the cost of people in need.
15. “Complain less. Build more.” Lex has built an online empire. When you complain less and build after hours, you can do the same True success is owning your future. Build something online so you can become an owner and give up the rent-seeking job.
16. "Life can end at any moment” The problem is you think you have time, but every day you're slowly dying. You live for ~4000 weeks. Get out there & make sh*t happen.
