I'm 38. When I was young I worshipped politics/UBI, went woke (broke) & believed in the myth of equality. Then I discovered unknown philosopher Ayn Rand & she changed my life forever 14 lessons from the most controversial & unknown philosopher:

1. “I regard altruism as evil.” The woke movement often pretends to care. But really they're just virtue-signalling. 'Thoughts & prayers' sounds compassionate. But it's a show of status. "I'm better than you." Anyone can wear a flag on their jacket. What's harder is to give up your money & time to provide real help.

Ayn Rand was Russ!an & migrated to the U.S. She invented Objectivism (a philosophy) that is based on: • individualism • individual freedom • rational self-interest • free markets She saw collectivism & socialism as evil. Her ideas are needed more than ever.

2. "Run for your life from any man who tells you that money is evil." Wealth isn't evil. It's an incentive to work hard & add value to the world. Give me someone who sends rockets to mars over some intellectual critic who's never done anything.

3. “Wealth is the product of man’s capacity to think.” True wealth isn't free time or lots of money. It's a free mind. One that doesn't give a f*ck about: • Rules • Critics • Cancel culture • Opinions that are the opposite of their own

4. "The smallest minority on earth is the individual." Caring about the collective is overrated. You have little control over the crowd. And what's the point of giving everything for the collective if you're unhappy? Worshipping the collective is a clever form of control.

5. “It’s the hardest thing in the world—to do what we want. And it takes the greatest kind of courage.” As Naval says: "The only real test of intelligence is if you get what you want out of life." Have the gut to chase your obsession.

6. “If you don’t know, the thing to do is not to get scared, but to learn.” Woke culture hates free speech. They say it's dangerous. They label ideas they don't agree with as misinformation. X + S*bstack have re-enabled free speech. Thank f*ck.

7. "There are two sides to every issue: one side is right and the other is wrong, but the middle is always evil." People-pleasers scare the sh*t out of me. Choose a side. We can debate each other without hating each other. Some of the best friends you'll ever make have the opposite beliefs.

8. “Don’t ever get angry at a man for stating the truth.” The opposite is to worship mediocrity. Debating is how we challenge bad ideas and innovate. If everyone agrees humanity dies.

9. “Learn to value yourself, which means: fight for your happiness.” If you're not happy then go fix that first. Everything else is secondary.

10. “Freedom: To ask nothing. To expect nothing. To depend on nothing.” Screw millionaire-status, job titles, the corporate ladder & luxury B.S. Focus on personal freedom. It leads to real happiness.

11. “The smallest minority on earth is the individual. Those who deny individual rights cannot claim to be defenders of minorities.” This applies to all upcoming elections. Governments want more & more control and it screws the individual in the butt.

12. “To sell your soul is the easiest thing in the world. That's what everybody does every hour of his life. If I asked you to keep your soul - would you understand why that's much harder?” 9-5 jobs often fit into this category. Real soul is being true to yourself.

13. “Do not ever say that the desire to ‘do good’ by force is a good motive. Neither power-lust nor stupidity are good motives.” War is never a good idea. At the same time, be afraid of do-gooders. They usually do evil behind closed doors.

14. “The hardest thing to explain is the glaringly evident which everybody has decided not to see.” Look at the years of 2020-2022. Absolute chaos. Taking away freedom + enormous money printing hurt us. It's why the middle-class is in struggle town.

Final Thought Some of Ayn's ideas were bad. But some help us to challenge our thinking. Doesn't matter what your political beliefs are. What she does well is question the status quo so we don't all become sheep & accidentally end humanity. Consider her ideas. Challenge your beliefs.
