Ch 12 of Revelation is Meta. It's all of history in one chapter. It is the exact middle of the larger Revelation Chiasmus but is itself also a Chiasmus. Breakdown: A1)And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with ยนthe sun, and ยฒthe moon under her feet, and ยณupon her head a crown of twelve stars: A17)ยฒAnd the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of ยนher seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have ยณthe testimony of Jesus Christ. (These events are in heaven, the dragon is satan in heaven, the serpent is satan on earth, the moon under her feet symbolizes power over darkness, which the dragon was wroth over. This is about Satan's initial jealousy when he is made aware of God's plan for man, and how it involves Satan serving us as he does the Father, he refuses. Faithfully delivering the testimony of Jesus Christ results in a crown. Her head is where believers are sealed for we are chosen before the foundation of the earth.) B2) ยนAnd she being with child cried, ยณtravailing in birth, โถand pained to be delivered. B16) ยฒAnd the earth helped the woman, โดand the earth opened her mouth, โตand swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth. (Read in numbered order. Consider carefully that the earth is a HER. The dragon has cast flood or false doctrines, from heaven to earth to deceive man which began with the deception in the garden, in this instance it is possible reference to Able's blood which cried from the earth!) C3) And there appeared another wonder in heaven and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. C15) And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood. (The 7 heads, 10 horns, and 7 crowns represent in order: governmental powers, antichrists, false religions. All together the Sephiroth. Both the serpent and the dragon cast forth water, if Christ is living water, this is doctrines and ideas that lead to death which sweep people away. Before Satan is cast out he fights us on two fronts, in Heaven and on Earth. (But ye are of your father the devil, a liar and murderer from the start) D4) And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born. D14)And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent. (Here we see that her water already broken, (Noah), and she was ready to give birth. Satan, anticipating redemption for the earth from the heavens, draws powers away from Heaven, but himself stays in the hopes of devouring the child immediately. It seems the devil was anticipating the King to be born in heaven, not in a lowly manger...For the woman in heaven gave birth to a city, and the one on earth its inheritors. D14 speaks of two times, the very early church leading up to the destruction of the temple and the "flight to pella" of which most of the apostles were part of (Peter and James the wings) and again in the end days when the church is reduced to how it began) E5)And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne. E13)And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child. (Now the woman was in heaven laboring but gives birth on the earth, seems like a little misdirection on Father's part to get Satan off the trail, the Wise Men followed the star, it was the woman in heaven making her flight to earth, allegorically but also quite literally. The manchild is the Son of Man, which Satan anticipated to be born in heaven and come in glory as he will in the final day. Not be born on earth and do all that Jesus did. We are not told in this chapter how the woman gets to earth, unlike Satan who is cast out of heaven and not aware of it immediately "and when he saw". Now that he is cast out of heaven he presents himself as both dragon and serpent on the earth but not before) F6)And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days. F12)Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time. (The war in heaven is finished, one little problem those who will inherit the kingdom are on earth, the seed of the gospel was sown on terra firma not celestial skies. God has prepared a place on Earth to protect the woman, until the arrival of the Son of Man. Note 1260, and the other places its mentioned **Revelation 11, Daniel** World history and the world future are symbolically represented as 1260 days or a time, times and half a time in symbolic years. Our own personal lifetime is symbolically represented as 30 days or a "time" in symbolicย months. Essentially this means a time of tribulation. In our lifetime, as a child of God, we will suffer. It may even be that we suffer double trouble (two months or two "times") but God helps us along the way and he makes the seem like "half a time" (half a symbolic month). These symbolic times are an encouragement to us. In times of tribulation God will not forsake us. He will effectively halve our troubles even though the world may double them. G7) And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, G11) And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. (Wouldn't you know, the Word is the means of satan's defeat both in heaven and on the earth. This is why the angels say I am of your brethren that have the testimony of Jesus Christ, worship God. Michael, now a decoy, throws Satan from heaven WHILE Jesus defeats him on the cross. Though Michael is purely an angel and Jesus is God call your attention to the many instances of twins in the bible and consider this carefully. In Daniel we find out that Michael is the defender of Israel, not on Earth but in Heavenly Jerusalem.) H8)8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven H10)And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. (X CHIASMUS) And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
I prayed a few days ago for clarity on the war on heaven and this is what I was given, I hope it edifies as it did for me.
they've always known.
they've always known and they lie to us, but now they will pretend to be telling the truth, and many will believe it. come out of the world my friends. there is nothing for you there.
the woman is symbolic of the promise, not any person or institution like Israel or the Church. Yo do err not knowing the scriptures or the power of God. You esteem the labels and things built by human hands.
in a way the woman is eve, but not literally.
