Some like to point out absence of whites in the Bible as a kind of own. Well (in addition to the Romans) there was one: Goliath. Hans Gunther on the Aryan tradition of single combat, “a choice as full of unknown terrors to the Jews as it is becoming to the Homeric heroes.”
I’m obviously not a Christian and I don’t care about racial representation in the Bible, but it’s an interesting perspective on a story we all know. Not so much the victory of the underdog as it is a cheap subversion of a noble Aryan tradition. Fitting.
