He was sitting at lunch with Aida and Todoroki, but had just glanced over at Katsuki, his spiky-haired alpha childhood friend, who was currently speaking with Kirishima and Kaminari.
Heat rose in Izuku’s cheeks as he felt his nostrils flare. He could smell Katsuki from here, campfire smoke and burnt caramel and- He shook his head slightly. /No! Absolutely NOT that one!/ he said to his omega frantically.
He’d learned about this, he just needed to stay calm, and assert dominance. He’d been hoping he was just a beta but he’d prepared for this- His omega whined pitifully. /But alpha smells so good-/
Suddenly, a new scent reached Izuku’s nose. Freshly fallen rain, mixed with something warm, and nutty…toasted vanilla. /Is that…me??/ Izuku thought.
/We smell so good for alpha!/ his Omega said cheerily. That was a yes, then. “Midoriya…” Todoroki said, his voice muffled slightly.
Izuku turned to see his friend having his hand clasped over his nose and mouth. “You should seek out Recovery Girl.” Todoroki said. “I-” Izuku started, but then there was a new problem. A low growl reached his ears.
“Bakugou! Calm down, man!” Kirishima and Kaminari were holding onto Katsuki’s arms, and Katsuki was straining to get to…Izuku? Izuku felt heat rising in his cheeks. /Alpha wants us-/ his Omega said excitedly.
/NO he does not./ Izuku interjected, to another whine. /But he doe-/ “NOW, Midoriya,” Todoroki said, his voice strained. “Your scent-”
Izuku could feel a lot of eyes on him. A. Lot. “Come now, Midoriya,” Iida said, grabbing him up by the arm. “I shall escort you,” the beta continued, guiding him away from all the prying eyes.
Away from Katsuki, whose rumbling growls made the hair stand up on the back of Izuku's neck. So powerful... No! He couldn't think like that! Izuku's face flushed slightly.
“Th-thanks, Iida,” Izuku stammered. “Not a problem,” Iida replied with a warm smile. “Let’s just get you some scent patches before something... unfortunate happens.” Izuku huffed. “You’d think some alphas had better control,” he said.
He’d thought Katsuki had better control than that, at least… /Alpha WANTS us-/ his Omega tried to interject. Izuku growled softly in frustration. /Why do you keep saying that?! Kacchan is our- MY friend! At BEST!/
Finally, they reached Recovery Girl’s office. /Didn’t you see him?/ “Ah, Midoriya, Iida, how can I help you?” Recovery Girl asked with a warm smile. Then her eyes widened slightly. “My my, that’s a strong scent.”
/He just lost control!/ Izuku protested. /Because he WANTS us./ his clearly stubborn Omega reasoned once again. “I’ll let you take it from here, ma’am.” Iida replied, but Izuku barely heard him.
Izuku scrunched his nose. /He does NOT-/ Recovery Girl tapped Izuku on the shoulder. “The first thing you need to learn, is to multitask while speaking with your Omega, dearie.” she said, as she ushered Izuku into her office and shut the door.
Izuku’s face flushed. He knew that. "I'm guessing you need some scent patches, then, dearie?" Recovery Girl asked, rummaging through her cupboards for some. "U-um... yes, ma'am."
/Why are we covering up our scent??/ his Omega questioned, whimpering. /Alpha won't be able to smell us!/ /That's exactly WHY! And quit calling him our- MY alpha! He's NOT./ Izuku snapped in protest.
He wasn't expecting to be an omega in the first place, much less have one this stubborn! He must've growled again, because Recovery Girl said, "It's best to befriend your Omega, you know. That way you can avoid any...incidences."
Losses of control. If your secondary gender rebelled against you, you might find yourself in bed with an alpha you never meant to be with...or worse. "Y-yes ma'am. Mine is just very.../stubborn./" Izuku said, a bit frustrated.
