#bkdk super short office AU --- ‘Wanna grab a cup of coffee sometime?’ Katsuki narrowed his eyes. Was he reading that right? Or had he finally overworked himself to the point of hallucinations?
Across the street from Katsuki’s newly opened restaurant was an ordinary office building. However, there was nothing ordinary about the huge note now taped to the window on the other side of the street. “What the…”
Behind the note sat a stranger with a beaming smile, freckled cheeks, and green curls that bounced with every frantic wave of his hand. Was this random nerd asking him out? Hesitantly, Katsuki pointed at himself and mouthed a, “me?”
The stranger in the window frowned as if he didn’t understand. Katsuki clicked his tongue in annoyance and rummaged around his work desk for a pen and paper. He wrote: ‘Are you asking me out?’ and scowled as he held it up in the window for the guy to see.
The nerd took a moment to read his note before smiling yet again and nodding enthusiastically. ”What a fucking weirdo,” Katsuki thought. He flipped a page in his notebook and wrote ‘Fine’, before displaying it in the window again.
He’d let the guy humor him; it was just coffee after all. The man held up a new note. ‘Just say when’ it said. ‘When’ Katsuki wrote, not being one for beating around the bush. He could see the green-haired idiot laugh; it looked genuine even from this distance.
‘How about tonight?’ ‘Sure’ ‘I’ll swing by after work’ Katsuki nodded in confirmation before making a shooing motion with his hand. The stranger laughed again, and Katsuki was beginning to like the look of it.
But, if he had a date tonight, then he had to finish work early. He could not afford any distractions, no matter how pretty their smile was. --- The end
Or probably the end... I've always wanted to write an office AU where they see each other in the window and start communicating with gestures and notes but I've never elaborated on the plot so I dunno, maybe I'll write a one shot one day :D
