Top 10 supplements I take to optimize my health and body:

Whey protein I drink a shake in the morning because I like to have a light breakfast while getting protein first thing in the morning. My target is to hit .8 grams of protein per lb of bodyweight & a double scoop of whey protein helps me hit this target every day.

Creatine Creatine is one of the most researched supplements on the planet. It helps improve my strength, muscle, performance & brain function. The side effects of this supplement are in the exceptional category. For most people it is safe. I take 5 grams daily.

Greens I look at greens powder as a form of nutrient insurance. They contain high levels of vitamins & minerals, antioxidants & probiotics to support good health. I use Athletic Greens because it's one of the highest-quality greens powders & has a long track record.

Magnesium Glycinate Studies suggest up to 50% of Americans are magnesium deficient due to the Western diet. Magnesium can support overall health function and has been shown to reduce stress & anxiety while improving quality of sleep. I take 400-600mg of magnesium a day.

Psyllium Husk Psyllium is a soluble fiber that's been shown to assist weight loss, managing cholesterol & improving gut health and blood sugar. I put it in my morning shake to keep me satiated through the entire morning & regulate my bowel movements. I take a tablespoon daily.

Ashwagandha It's an adaptogen a natural substance considered to help the body adapt to stress. Its benefits may include reductions in stress & anxiety, boost in athletic performance, increased libido, & possible reductions in inflammation. I take 6000mg daily.

Turmeric Turmeric is rich in phytonutrients that may protect the body by neutralizing free radicals (pollution, sunlight) and shielding the cells from damage. I take it with a blend of spices and black pepper to get the most out of it. I take around 500mg per day.

Omega 3 fish oils Omega 3's can be found in most fish. They contribute to recovery & the health of your joints, eyes & brain. They fight inflammation and may help prevent heart disease and a decline in brain function. I take 2000mg a day of fish oils.

Vitamin D3 Vitamin D3 is the sunshine vitamin. If you get plenty of sun exposure throughout the day you may not need this. I live in Canada so it's necessary. It can help improve mood, brain function & your immune system while strengthening your bones. I take 4000 iu a day.

Collagen Collagen is a key component in bones, skin, muscles & other body parts. It's been shown to improve skin, muscle & joint health while supporting your brain and gut health. I take anywhere from 5 to 15 grams a day & eat them in gelatin form as a nice dessert.
