So commonly online when looking into the impact of your ascendant, you can see a lot of how it's depicted to be your "outer shell" or who you "appear" to be upon the first introduction.

I'm even guilty of making previous threads on Ascendant/Descendants and how ASC is more of "what you seem like" vs. what you truly are. (but this whole twitter account was created so that I could learn with you all, and I've got some new tea)

We've been looking at it all wrong guys, the ASC is the entire MOOD or VIBE of how your whole birth chart navigates its energy. So think of your birth chart as a movie, your rising sign sets the tone for what genre of film it is. Your Ascendant is Gemini? You're a documentary.

No, but, in all seriousness. The PLANET that impacts your ascendant is how your chart navigates through life, but what house that planet is in is how you express that energy. So say two people have an ARIES rising, making MARS their chart ruler BUT

one person's MARS is in their eighth house while the other person's mars is in their third house. the 8th house Mars person leads their life through a very secretive and impassioned nature, they want to be consumed by what gets their blood boiling and jump to conclusions easily

because of this... BUT the mars in third house person is constantly seeking intellectual enlightenment, gets restless and bored easily, wants to study and understand how the world around them operates but can struggle with sticking to one thing for too long.
