1/ The EF App Relations team is putting out an open RFP for a neutral DeFi risk intelligence aggregator.
Public good, open source, no composite scoring. If you're the team to build this, applications close June 15.

Here's how we got here ๐
2/ Over the past few months we've spoken to hundreds of DeFi teams across calls, events, and roundtables, including workshop sessions in Cannes with 70+ teams (summary:
We were skeptical teams wouldn't open up in a room full of competitors but they were incredibly open and genuine. One theme kept coming up: risk and transparency. Who controls what, what does a user actually own, what sits behind that ownership, etc

3/ The comparison to an @l2beat for DeFi came up a lot. But teams weren't asking us to build a new risk framework or scoring system from scratch, the ask was simpler: aggregate what already exists in one view.
Risk feeds like @defiscan_info, @BlockAnalitica, @curator_watch, @PharosWatch, @TheDefiSphere, @DeFiSaver, @CredoraNetwork are already doing the work. What's missing is the neutral layer that pulls it all together.

4/ We think of it like good oracle design. No single price feed should be trusted alone. You aggregate many feeds and that's where the reliability comes from.
Same principle applies to DeFi risk data. No single source should be canonical. The aggregation is the value.

5/ So we built a POC and wrote a spec. Now we're looking for a team to take it to production and run with it.
Open source, open data layer, named steward, no composite scoring. Just the feeds, side by side.
Applications close June 15. Feel free to reach out or apply directly here: esp.ethereum.foundation/applicants/rfpโฆ
