shi yuqi: i dont really consider myself a prodigy. even when i was younger, i wasnt no 1 and usually just around 3 or 4. its not like what people say abt "genius" or "talent" i think my hard work thats what got me to where am i today.

after the olympic paris, my form fluctuated a lot and i lost frequently so my confidence was probably low. i even consider retiring. my mindset was quite distorted.
a stable mindset is very important for athletes bcs it determines your performance on the court and how much of your potential can unleash. nervousness will affect your performance.
after playing so many games and experiencing so much, my understanding of life and mental growth might be different from others. i used to be more "extreme" which was reflected in my handling of the game. now, i'm more peaceful and patient.
