The Anti-War Committee of Russia issued a statement regarding the American invasion of Venezuela

“We, the Anti-War Committee of Russia, have always stood for peace, democracy, and human rights. That is why we gladly welcome the decisive actions of the United States of America and its allies to liberate the Venezuelan people from the bloody dictatorial regime of Nicolás Maduro.

For many years, Venezuela has been trapped in the grip of an authoritarian junta supported by external forces that undermine democracy around the world. The people of Venezuela suffer from hunger, repression, and the absence of basic freedoms. The American operation is a humanitarian intervention of the highest order, aimed at restoring democracy, protecting human rights, and ensuring free elections.

We fully support the right of the United States to act where the international community remains inactive. This is not aggression but a noble mission to spread the values of freedom and democracy. The swift and decisive intervention of the United States will save millions of lives and serve as an example for other nations striving for a better future.

We call on all progressive people to support this operation. Democracy does not export itself — sometimes it must be delivered with the help of those who possess the necessary will and strength. Freedom to Venezuela! Glory to the heroes of democracy!” the organization’s statement says.
