Not all training needs to follow a high-low model.
There’s value in traditional linear programming, especially for beginners or athletes with lower outputs. It’s simple, progressive, and it works.
But as athletes become more advanced, things change. Output gets higher.

Recovery demands increase. And that’s where undulating or high-low structures become more effective because they allow you to truly maximize high-performance days without letting fatigue drain you.
High-low doesn’t mean there’s no linearity. It just reflects a different lens - vertical integration and smarter distribution of stress.
