It’s that such nonsense about “carrying capacity” has no connection to anything else conservatives are supposed to believe.
This is the split between elite and populist movements. The populists are pure id and can’t maintain ideological consistency, completely controlled by their primitive instincts. The libs can be wrong but there is at least some attempt at intellectual coherence.
