In my 8 years in crypto
These are my 2 most profitable strategies.
They work in choppy and trendy markets.
Momentum and Mean Reversion (Full Guide):

I use 2 strategies to trade altcoin price action:
1. Momentum: Trending Altcoins
2. Mean Reversion: Choppy Altcoins
This has helped me make millions in crypto and catch recent moves on SOL, SUI, PEPE, ETH, and BTC.

1. Momentum Strategy
This goes against what most trading gurus teach, but is my main trading strategy for altcoins and BTC.
I've used this to make most of my money trading crypto.

To trade this, use this criteria in trending markets:
-Bullish Market Structure
-MAs fanned out
-High Volume Breakout
For example, SUI's uptrend from September 2024- January 2024 was easy to long on break of resistance- especially on lower timeframes

2. Mean Reversion
This is the most commonly traded trading strategy online.
I use this to trade sideways/ranging/choppy altcoins or to invest long-term. I also use these to buy altcoins after major market corrections

Trading altcoins using the Mean Reversion strategy is great during ranging conditions.
My Criteria for Mean Reversion Triggers:
-Resistance rejecting
-Swing Failure Patterns
-Support Bouncing
For example, BTC's current range between 90K and 109K is ideal for this strategy

Both trading styles are equally good but there are some pros and cons for each.
There's no RIGHT strategy, you just need to figure out which strategy is right for YOU based on your personality.

Try to trade both on a small account first.
This will allow you to understand your counterparty and build an emotional edge;
"How are momentum traders thinking right now? Are they euphoric?"
"How are mean reversion traders thinking right now? Are they panicking?"

To play both strategies,
-Identify market structure
-Determine if price is trending or choppy
-Create entry and exit triggers
-Take 30-100 trades, journal, improve, and repeat.
This will help you catch major gains in altcoins in the bull market.
