I write for a living. That means I am in competition with anyone with an internet connection. People can write what they want, I can respond, people can listen to me or not.

If someone suggested a law where those living in the UK or India couldn't write for an English-speaking audience, I would oppose it. I would consider it an insult if told that this was to ensure I could make a living.

I can't imagine the psychology of someone who thinks differently. People who know they contribute so little to the world that others will not voluntarily seek their services unless they have no other options, so they therefore need government force to take away the rights of others.

When we support high-skilled immigration, we're not simply being fair to foreigners or helping power the American economy. We are standing up to the mentality of those who want to live an existence that is parasitic off others.
