History is really a mirror
1492 BC: Egypt conquers Nubia and the Levant.
Thutmose III, the pharaoh of Exodus, was the 6th pharaoh of the 18th dynasty (666). The Egyptian 18th Dynasty's empire is at its greatest territorial extent under Thutmose III. It is the most powerful civilization in the known world at the time. But God has decided that now would be the time for His people to go free. And despite all the odds that's exactly what happens. Thutmose's military campaigns are well recorded, but this event is glaringly absent, Why?
This is because it would have been a huge stain on an otherwise long and glorious legacy, and since he wielded absolute power, he told everyone to shut up about it and 'we let those slaves go because they had cooties' (leprosy and lice). And since it's what the Pharoah says or your head, his version of events is what history has recorded.
The Israelite's "wandering" in the desert was part to remain in areas outside of direct Egyptian control and influence. The Sinai Peninsula, though shaded in the graphic below, was really no man's land, a barren and desolate wilderness, but Moses would have known it well from living in Midian for 40 years which is to the east of the peninsula. This is where while shepherding his father in law's flock through it's wildernesses, he came upon the Burning Bush. In other words, they weren't lost nor was it because Moses was stubborn to ask for directions that they wandered for 40 years in a relatively small area.
The promised land of Canaan was one of the areas that gave Thutmose III the most trouble, but during his lifetime at least, those victories were the source of many of his accolades, as such he is considered to be one of the great military strategists of history. His reign ends in 1427 BC. Joshua's conquering of the plain coincides with a weak link in the 18th dynasty. One of the first areas that would have revolted at any show of weakness would have been Canaan/Palestine. Joshua took advantage of this and using a semi nomadic army that was not on anybody's radar conquered and laid waste to the cities on the plain, ushering in the age of Judges from absolute obscurity (because God)
Nearly 100 years after Moses received the tablets at Sinai, Akhenaten abandons traditional ancient Egyptian religion to a monotheistic worship of "aten". He also composes the Amarna letters, which are highly unusual because they were not written in the language of ancient Egypt but in Akkadian, the language of proto-canaanites, and likely an evolved form of what Moses wrote the Pentateuch in a century before. Curious. Some of Akhenaten writings made their way to China where they were discovered by G-Men in the 1700s, who upon internalizing what's recorded, put the cart before the horse, and assign the 'idea' of One God to Pharaoh.
Satan's mirror inversion:
1492 AD: January 23 The Pentateuch is first printed.
March 31 β Ferdinand and Isabella sign the Alhambra Decree, expelling all Jews from Spain unless they convert to Roman Catholicism.
August 2 - The Jews are expelled from Spain; 40,000β200,000 leave. The Genoese navigator Christopher Columbus sails with three ships from Palos de la Frontera, in the service of the Crown of Castile, on his first voyage across the Atlantic Ocean, intending to reach Asia...
