God stopped the sun. If we were on a rotating ball, gravity would have weakened and we would have been flung off (supposedly) but that's not what happened, because we are not on a spinning ball.
Excluding visions of prophecy (which are highly symbolic), if your system for determining if an event described in the Bible is literal or allegorical is based on your modern understanding of what is possible then you are leaning on your own understanding and picking and choosing what sounds right to you not what is actually written.
Everything written in the Bible happened literally, but there is also meta for us to search out. It's always both. The book of Joshua is a historical narrative... If we deny the literal events then the Bible becomes nothing more than just a work of fiction with some proposed moral standards. But it isn't, it is the Holy Perfect Word of God.

The only people that get upset when you say you believe in biblical cosmology are the ones that still have space posters up in their office, or that was their 'thing' as a kid. We were all lied to bro, doubling down here is not going to make it hurt any less
"You are limiting God"
God literally limited himself and became a mortal man for our sakes. Saying that the earth is bound is not limited God, it's highlighting Gods unlimited love for us through our central position in His creation
