Hard Post Trauma + Abuse Truths

It doesn't matter what happened to you; how unusual or obscene or unfair, if you walk around life like a wounded dog attempting to garner sympathy with which to dress your wounds a few things will happen:

1)Some people will feel sorry for you. They don't feel bad for the things that happened to you they simply pity you. You are no longer human to them but a charity case. They feel sorry because they see you as sorry.

2) This doesn't actually make you feel any better about yourself, empathy will not cure your wounds. Even if you run into people with similar backgrounds, it doesn't help.

3) A lot people won't believe you to begin with. They may say they do to your face but behind your back they assume you are a liar or insane.

4) Some shit you just need to be playa about G, adapt, overcome, and then the world will be asking you and you won't need to offer it. By then you won't even want to talk about 'what happened' only when people get it twisted and underestimate you.

5) I know this doesn't seem fair but as a survivor and overcomer I'm telling you this is how it is.
