The Spirit of the Antichrist

In our pride we may say to ourselves, 'we will never follow the antichrist'. the spirit of antichrist calls us to put the achievements of man above God, to build a utopia on earth with elements of communism and capitalism. all forms of government propose a type of paradise created by man if allowed to achieve their final form.

Antichrist will proclaim himself above God, but not only him, his followers as well. Unbelievers will tell us "you believe only because you can't deal with the realities of this world, and of this"

The truth is the opposite, we as Christians have engaged with the reality of our death, the suffering of this life, our hope is in a paradise to come. Materialism engenders a false trust in a paradise that never comes, that the ease, comforts and pleasures of this world will somehow take away the threat of death. And many people live in complete denial pretending to themselves that they will never die. Yet we live knowing death is to come. We do not run from it.

The spirit of Antichrist will deny to us the reality of our death; convinced us to live day to day because we can become immortal, but in our hearts we will know this is untrue.

Antichrist raises relativism, a confusion of ideas, tells us all truth is equal; it is false, it stems from a denial of truth, Christ Himself is the truth, the way, the life and the truth.

What lies as the heart of the antichrist system is a lack of belief, nihilism, a rejection of Christ himself. Raising man above God. We must reject everything that suggests there is an evolution of civilization of man in himself.

The opposite is true, what we we see is an erosion of culture and a degeneration of human society, all led by the Spirit of Antichrist, the rejection of Truth.
