So it surprised him to hear the alpha saying that he was actually serious in courting him. He went nearly deaf at how loud his mind screamed at him to deny him, but it was that soft beat, that damned soft beat of his heart that compelled him to say yes.

“Secretary Kim,” Sajangnim says, immediately making the omega stand on his two feet to bow at him. The alpha’s voice was slightly laced with coldness and his eyes were unreadable.
“Can you please advise Director Min to get back to me as soon as he returns from his trip from our manufacturing site?”
Director Min was currently in Jeju, personally taking the lead in rushing their next season’s release so it could be ready by release day. Their Jeju site was basically located in a secluded area and it was hard to get reception there.
Taehyung already formed a plan to contact a friend of his who lives a little near the area so the director could receive the CEO’s message as soon as it could.
He instantly nods at him. “Right away, Sajangnim,” he replies. “Anything else?”

“Follow up with Director Park on that new Marketing Director,” Sajangnim adds. “The chairwoman will be holding a meeting with the board with everyone. We need to make sure everyone’s there.”
Taehyung tries to hide a blush at that. He knows he’s partly the reason why they’re in search of a new position to fill. “I got it.” he answers. “Do you want me to contact some headhunters to speed up the process?”
“No need. Director Park already has someone in mind. I’m sure he can handle it.”
Taehyung nods at him. “Okay, sir. Anything else?” Sajangnim shakes his head at him. “Okay, I’ll do it all right now, sir. I’ll take care of it.”

He sees the corner of the alpha’s lips upturn into a small smile and had /that/ look in his eyes again as he watched Taehyung take his seat and begin to do the tasks he was given.

“It’s past lunch time already,” the omega adds as he sees that it’s half past one already. “Do you want me to stop by that sandwich place across the building?”
