Top 5 Slideshow formats that got me 2.2M views and $10.7K for my app:
Alright Sigmas, yall asked for it so here it is.
before we start, you have to understand one thing.
There is only one objective when it comes to marketing:
find a format that gets you views consistently.
to do so you have to do volume posting.
at least 5-7 times a day minimum.
After around 35 posts, you’ll have enough data to know whether to double down or completely switch formats
with that being said, here is your key to success:
1.Ranking system
This is the holy grail of formats.
this alone brought me around 75% of all my users.
rank something in your niche.
your brain physically cannot accept not knowing what the #1 spot is.
this is the boldest example possible, but let's say you have a looksmaxing app.
rank the top 10 ways to ascend.
then slip your app into one of the rankings.
but NOT #1.
very important.
i'd usually place the CTA around #2 or #3 because if you put your app at #1, the whole thing instantly feels like an ad.
2.Sound Sync
coolest format of all time.
find a viral sound and make sure the text, transitions and slides all hit perfectly on the beat or lyrics.
YEAT is probably the greatest slideshow artist ever created.
i'm serious.
there are millions of slideshows where the first slide is just the opening lyric and the only way to continue the song is to swipe.
it gets millions of views.
all you have to do is reverse engineer it and make the lyrics or transitions relate to your app.
Once you understand it...
you're cooking.
3. Tutorials
teach people sh*t.
you are literally reading this because you want to learn something.
do the same.
example of a cooking app:
"here's how i cooked a lasagna so good my husband proposed to me."
then spend the next slides actually teaching them how to cook the lasagna.
and quietly slide your app into the process.
bang.
works for almost every niche.
another example:
"here's how i transformed X image into Y image using this app"
(i abused this heavily for my image gen app)
and when doing tutorials don't be generic.
actually teach some real knowledge.
the apps cta should feel like a cherry on top.
give value first.
4. Trend copying
even though i hate "market research" because a man who only copies eventually becomes a parody of the original...
but this prints.
and it prints HEAVY.
there are hundreds of slideshow trends every single day.
and i literally just found one while writing this.
right now theres a trend where:
slide 1:
text - "imagine this scene"
(image of random guy)
slide 2:
(image of Ai Cristiano Ronaldo winning the World Cup)
and every single one is farming millions of views.
i'm not kidding go search it up.
"yeah but daddy how can i use that to promote my app?"
chill...damnn
i got you.
copy the format.
replace the images, change the context and make it about your app.
this is just one example i found 5 minutes ago.
you don't need to reinvent the wheel.
if you lack creativity:
do what you have to do and copy.
5. Before & After
this is probably my second best performing format behind ranking.
and it's genuinely insane.
picture this:
slide 1:
(image of a blonde girl) (text: BEFORE >>>)
you physically cannot stop yourself from swiping.
you NEED to see the AFTER.
and nooooo gooner...
it's not because she's blonde.
it's because your subconscious brain is craving the result. (THE AFTER)
i've used this format countless times for my image gen app.
and it only takes like 2-3 slides.
and fu*k it...
here's a GEM post format for a image gen app for example:
SLIDE 1:
(10/10 flash effect image of a girl)
text - "she edits her photos too much"
SLIDE 2:
(raw original unedited image)
text - "damn right i do."
BANG.
telling you, all the girls in the comments are going to be spamming:
"WHATS THE APP????"
trust, this is a gem.
before and after can also be made in 100 different ways.
Its up to you to start fuc*ing around and posting...
it took me around 1,000 slideshows to accumulate this knowledge.
so as your friendly neighborhood Spiderman, i figured i'd save you some time.
GO GET YOUR USERS.
