Because theres really only one way to engage or consume books or movies, watching them, whereas games you can watch And play

The only way to consume video games is by playing them, watching someone doing it is consuming the video of a creator not the game itself

"video of a creator" its a video of the game the creator is playing, which causes you to consume the contents of the video, which is the game.
