Can I be real for a sec? I finished watching the Nintendo Direct and was just... so... BORED by everything. Sometimes I even showed outright disdain for what I was seeing. Like, my brother even said "Wow, good thing you don't do watchalongs of these things". (1/6)

"Where is your sense of whimsy?" he asked. And I genuinely don't... know? It's been an issue for some years now, but yeah. I used to be able to find joy and inspiration in videogames, movies, what have you, much easier than I do now. (2/6)

It's like a switch went off in my brain and I don't know where it used to be, much less how to turn it back on. I can find *some* enjoyment in things, but a lot of it is merely a fogged-up reflection of what was once genuine excitement and awe. I feel like a sham. (3/6)

This also makes any kind of creative endeavor much harder than it should be. Something as simple as OCs, that used to come to me so easily and that I NEED to create for the book I'm writing, are now a math problem that I lost the tools to solve. (4/6)

I'm sorry to dump this on all of you out of nowhere. I guess I'm just... hoping that someday, sooner rather than later, I'll be able to fix this somehow. That I can find a way to fill up the well again. Because this is not how I want to live. (5/6)

I want to create stories and characters again, I want to share them with the world, I want to HAVE FUN again. And I can't do that if I'm unable to enjoy fiction and be inspired by it. There's some way to get out of this rut somewhere out there. I just don't know where or how yet.
