Your AI generated images look fake.
And it’s not the tool’s fault.
It’s your prompt.
Here’s exactly how to fix it 🧵👇

The #1 reason AI images look fake?

You’re being too vague.

“Beautiful woman in a studio” gives you a ROBOT.

“Dark-skinned woman with glowing skin, visible pores, soft natural shadow under her chin, warm studio light hitting her left cheekbone” gives you a PHOTO.
Specificity is everything.
3
Fix #1 — ADD SKIN IMPERFECTIONS

Real skin has:
— pores
— slight unevenness
— natural highlight and shadow

Add this to your prompt:
“natural skin texture, visible pores, subtle skin unevenness, photorealistic complexion”

Watch the fakeness disappear instantly.
4
Fix #2 — STOP USING GENERIC LIGHTING

“Good lighting” = AI nightmare.

Instead say:
“soft diffused natural window light from the left, warm golden hour glow, slight shadow on the right side of face”

Lighting is what separates a real photo from a AI render. Be SPECIFIC.
5
Fix #3 — TELL IT THE CAMERA SPECS

Real photographers don’t just “take a photo.”

Add this to every prompt:

“shot on Sony A7IV, 85mm lens, f/1.8 aperture, shallow depth of field, slight bokeh background”

AI responds to camera language. Use it.
6
Fix #4 — ANCHOR THE FACE WITH A REFERENCE

Stop generating random faces and wondering why it looks off.

Upload YOUR face as a reference image (cref on Midjourney, face lock on Leonardo, face reference on Kling)

Your face. Your prompt. Real results.
7
Fix #5 — ADD THESE WORDS TO EVERY PROMPT

✅ photorealistic
✅ editorial photography
✅ natural skin
✅ high resolution
✅ shot on camera
✅ cinematic lighting

And REMOVE these:
❌ beautiful
❌ stunning
❌ perfect
❌ amazing

Adjectives = AI fluff. Camera terms = realism.
8
Fix #6 — USE NEGATIVE PROMPTS

Tell AI what NOT to do:

“No plastic skin, no overly smooth face, no unnatural glow, no cartoonish features, no symmetrical perfection”

AI needs boundaries. Give it them.
9
Fix #7 — DESCRIBE THE ENVIRONMENT IN DETAIL

Fake images have fake backgrounds.

Don’t say “nice background”

Say “warm ambient restaurant interior, soft bokeh lights, wooden table surface, slight motion blur in background”

The background sells the realism as much as the face.

Quick summary — your fix it checklist:
✅ Specific skin texture words
✅ Named lighting direction
✅ Camera and lens specs
✅ Face reference image
✅ Realism keywords
✅ Negative prompts
✅ Detailed background
Save this. Your AI images will never look fake again.
