I'm sorry if you're sick of hearing ppl's thoughts on the "returning boycotters" issue coz I have words too.

I've been reading and nodding along to the boycotter stories from others and not really commenting, but ...

I think it's important.

I think it's important we share and keep in mind what they did. Because, sure, we can't stop anyone getting tickets and attending concerts, but we CAN stop them from nestling back into the loving embrace of the fandom and I think it's important that we do.

Look, I don't want to hold onto hate and the feelings I have about them are far more like "shock and danger" than hate.

There was personal stuff from these guys - like hateful messages and attempts to cancel me. Stuff I don't give a sh|t about.

Also some personal stuff I can’t prove, but due to the details of the messages, I believe they were behind a contaact made to my workplace, dragging my children into the narrative. I can’t prove it, but the evidence points that way.

But what really makes it a “can’t come back from” for me was the choice to attack the tannies when they were vulnerable during their military service. Their last lives before they enlisted. The feature of letters we could send to them,

Hobi’s meetings with ARMY, video fanmeets — every single avenue was exploited in the name of “education” as though they are infants or clay to be shaped into the form of whatever someone else’s desire should be.

I’m an educator by profession and to coopt the term and paint education as something you force onto others as opposed to facillitating learning and growth is extremely dehumanising sounding to me.

Education is not something you stuff down another’s throat expecting them to agree w/ you, forcing them to regurgitate your exact talking points

Meanwhile while our guys were facing extreme uncertainty about their future & going into one of most difficult phases of their lives

these people chose to attack them as though they were personally responsible for some of the most heinous acts on the planet.

And now. Those self-same people want to cheer them on in concert. Okay. More cheers for BTS, I can get behind. Wherever they come from.

But they want OUR eyes and support for their cheers and outfits and experiences and fancams?
No fvcking way.
This is the power we have - to say “you are not welcome in our family any more”.

We will be the fandom we build.

Not to mention the ot6 haters...
