Taehyung moved through the pack house until he reached the study of head alpha in training.

Sliding open the wooden doors, he checked the floors, straightened loose mats +

+ and adjusted the wooden shutters so the morning light would fall softly across the study illuminating alpha’s scrolls without straining his eyes.

By the time the alpha emerged, Taehyung had already prepared the tea.

He had measured the leaves with care, boiled the water to the perfect temperature and poured it into the cup slowly, letting the tea settle before sliding it across the low table toward alpha.

“Steward Kim,” Jeongguk’s voice called from the doorway.

“Yes, Alpha Jeon?” Taehyung replied, bowing slightly, his palms pressed neatly together.

“Tea?” Jeongguk asked, his gaze briefly flicking toward the tray.
