Franz Boas, arguably the founding father of modern race denialism, was mentored by his Communist uncle Abraham Jacobi (a personal friend of Karl Marx) throughout his life. Boas also wrote to the USSR in 1941, praising their racial egalitarianism & describing racism as "Medieval."

Boas wrote to the USSR in 1936 to praise Lysenkoism and whine about geneticists who refused to engage with his silly theories. So, yes, race denialism is modern day Lysenkoism.
