The most dangerous, oddly glorified, yet overlooked problem in the world:

No sense of urgency

It's why you're stressed, lack opportunities, depressed & your life is always in chaos.

Here's Robert Greene's 10-step protocol to escape the hell of moving too slow:

Most people have goals but they never achieve them. They...

• Overthink
• Wait for the right time
• Rely on "passion"

Without urgency all you have is a fantasy.

Codie Sanchez: "It's better to die with memories than fantasies."
3
Step 1: You've gotta be desperate

If you don't want it badly then nothing will happen.

We make our "musts" come true, not our nice-to-haves.

- You must want it badly.
- You must do whatever it takes.
- You must ignore people's excuses.

Desperation is a superpower. It makes you do things your comfortable self would never dream of
4
Step 2: Feel that you only have 6 months to do it

Long time horizons are a death wish.

• When you shorten the timeframe you move faster.

• Take your 10-year goals & make them 6 months.

Be unreasonable enough to want the result faster.
5
Step 3: If your back is against the wall, you'll fight twice as hard.

That's what armies do. They either win or die.

What holds people back are:

• Layoffs
• Health problems
• Financial issues

So they do nothing. They wait until the chaos fades. But life will always be full of problems.

Instead of stopping because your back is against the wall...

Use adversity as motivation.

A good friend of mine has a disabled son.

When his kid was born it felt like a burden. He needs 24/7 care. They can't go on holiday.

He went into a dark depression.

He eventually turned this adversity into an advantage. He got forced to earn a high salary to pay for his son's care.

He couldn't take years. He needed the money right away.

He also needed massive company perks to have the flexibility to help his son.

The government told him to place his son in a home.

He told them to f*ck off.

A few years later he made over a million dollars a year & broke every KPI.

Hope for adversity. Use it.

Step 4: Change your ways

- First you need awareness.
- Then you need to commit to change.

Moving slow is stupidity. People 50% dumber than you will lap you because they want it more

If you refuse to change nothing will change.
8
Step 5: Build new habits

The actions you take daily determine your output.

• Proactively choose new habits
• Track the habits
• Get 1% better each day

Show me your habits & I'll show you your future.
9
Step 6: Go against the tide

Do the opposite of 99% of people. Don't become the product of the cultural moment.

Politics, social justice, and the news are heroin. If they take over your mind they'll slow you down.

Being weird is a superpower. F*ck being normal.
10
Step 7: Show up with energy

People move slow because they're tired.

• Don't eat like sh*t
• Don't drink coffee/alcohol
• Don't screw up your sleep

Prioritize energy management, not time management.
11
Step 8: Add challenges to your life

Most have none, They avoid the uncomfortable. They do what is familiar.

When you add challenges to your life it forces you to rise to a higher level.

This generates growth. And that growth gives you momentum.
12
Step 9: Get a 3rd party to give you a deadline

Make sure there are consequences for not meeting it. Now you have leverage on yourself.
13
Step 10: Meditate on the idea of death

Morbid as f*ck. But it's easy to forget you only live once. A cancer scare is exactly what most need.

You're going to die. If you don't do it today you may be dead tomorrow.

Stop wasting decades moving at a snail's pace. Go all in today. Work 16 hours straight if you must

I used a sense of urgency to make $500K in 7 months online.

You can too.
