1. BTC All-time-high (ATH) Breakout

Bitcoin sucks liquidity away from altcoins as it moves first and there’s major uncertainty in the altcoin market.

Avoid altcoins and trade $BTC here. For example:

Here, BTC kept making new ATHs every week- leaving no room for altcoins to run.

Ethereum was barely above $3,000 as BTC broke $105,000.

Trading altcoins here would mean you're stuck in underperforming assets.

2. Initial consolidation after ATH Breakout

After Bitcoin stabilizes, and traders search for the “next pump”, they go to trade altcoins

This starts with majors like $ETH, $SOL, or $AVAX, and the same cycle repeats into smaller cap altcoins until $BTC moves again.

While this happens, confidence returns to altcoins and this becomes the most profitable phase to trade altcoins.

For example: After $BTC broke $105,000+ and created a mini consolidation range, $ETH ran 33%+ in the same timeframe (22Nove-11Dec, 2024)

3. Mid-late stage consolidations after ATH Breakout

A: BTC-Altcoin Risk Pulse: ON
While BTC consolidates after breaking ATH, it ranges sideways.

The most profitable trades on altcoins happen while BTC is closer to the top of the range.

For example:

$LINK ran the hardest while Bitcoin was at the top of the range VS the bottom of its consolidation range- within the same date range.

If you can spot the $BTC move early, you can position for massive altcoin gains:
