Interesting name they chose. The DUNE Project. What was Frank Herbert's novel Dune about? Well, for starters, everyone was after a substance called Spice, which was a rare and psychedelic drug that gave users long life, greater vitality, heightened awareness, and even prescience, which is a form of precognition. It's also worth noting that in Dune Spice is a substance that is holding the entire universe together. It has to be harvested from one of the most inhospitable planets and is harvested against the wishes of the people. Sounds similar to how we feel about the experiments of CERN.
