a possessive beta is not a thing. not like they couldn't be protective or jealous but they're never territorial. never to the extent where they'd rage the way only provoked alphas would..well, except for beta izuku when it comes to prime omega kacchan.

betas can usually only faintly recognize scents. their reaction to it would be neutral compared to omegas and alphas who would react to it..but it's not the same if we added prime omegas into the conversation.

their presence is way more prominent, even more than regular alphas.

their scents are stronger, not overwhelmingly dominating but rather captivating. it was as if they naturally demanded attention, powerful enough to even tame alphas.

betas could sense them more clearly. sure, most of them still wouldn't react to it so strongly,

but they could sense them enough.

like how izuku could sense kacchan's perfect scent, kacchan's pheromones including everyone around him. he could tell when an alpha is interested, or is pumping out certain pheromones to attract the omega's attention.

a regular beta

shouldn't be able to. it was as if his senses were heightened just by being around katsuki. a growl would rumble from deep within his chest, even if he never meant to. he'd be wary of his surroundings, as if ready to pounce at any given moment.

he was never like this before too. it all started only recently. izuku began acting weird, almost alpha-like and nobody could figure out why. he doesn't act like this all the time too, only in a very specific situation involving katsuki.

he almost bit monoma's throat off

when he tried sparring with katsuki. he barely even has a fang yet monoma swore with his life that for a split second, he saw huge ones bared towards him !

the next time it happened again, katsuki had gotten hurt. izuku absolutely /lost it/. he was out HUNTING for villains

that sent the rubble flying towards kacchan. they found him at 4 am in the middle of shinjuku city, holding a beat up man by his throat with himself barely conscious.

"I T-THOUGHT YOU TURNED INTO A BEAST MIDORIYA ? WHAT HAPPENED ?"

"i..i-i can't remember..?"

"it took katsuki a minute to finally connect the dots himself. izuku only began acting like this after he presented as a prime omega. a week later, he was either growling or asking him weird questions.

"kacchan bought a new shampoo ?"

"hah ? no ???"

he was confused on why izuku started praising whatever new thing he's been smelling around him.

he then realized it was his scent.

eventually the nerd started complaining that everyone has been smelling too strongly. not even realizing that he could recognize their scents.

when katsuki wasn't around, izuku doesn't seem to be bothered by the same issue..like he just goes back to his normal self.

katsuki observed longer. taking mental notes to try and understand why the hell his childhood friend started behaving like a deranged alpha.

katsuki's heat answered all of the questions he's ever had. the omega has been too busy with school and theorizing izuku's 'alpha-ish' phenomenon that he forgot about his incoming heat. he's lost track of the time and realized it a little too late.

"is- is this- ?" they were in the worst place possible when his heat hit him so suddenly. a highschool canteen brimming with students during lunch of all places !

he didn't get to sprint out of there because his legs were wobbling too much for him to even stand.

he sat quietly, noticing the rise in temperature, knowing damn well he fucked up.

"this smell..b-bakugou ??? hey !" kaminari was the first to notice. the omega immediately shook him by his shoulders when he started losing his consciousness.

"oh no this is bad guys !"

to be a prime omega in heat without scent patches on, in the middle of a space teeming with young newly presented alphas might be the worst case scenario one could think of. all of his friends were quick to stand around him, becoming wary of their surroundings.

katsuki was barely awake but he could hear multiple growls coming from some parts of the huge cafeteria.

"d..damn it."

the growls around him have gotten more aggressive each second, threatening chaos...

until a stronger, heavier scent overpowered even katsuki's own.

it's not the kind of smell that would entice an alpha, not the same as katsuki's who could be interpreted as an invitation, a call.

this one felt suffocating, so thick and overwhelming. it's a scent of a strong, angry, challenging alpha.

"give kacchan to me."

when izuku suddenly barged in with full cowling at 35%, his 'scent' engulfed the entire area.

a beta with a scent THIS strong ? that's not possible..yet everyone couldn't be mistaken when they're experiencing it themselves. the scent definitely belongs to midoriya izuku.

those alphas that were growling and emitting commanding pheromones immediately began to pull back. an alpha with superhuman strength just walked in while baring his fangs, only an idiot would provoked THAT.

"midor-"

"give kacchan to me." he repeated with one hand raised,

commanding them to be silent.

"..i-izuku ? ...a..alpha ?" katsuki didn't know what had gotten into him when he called out to izuku but when the nerd pounced towards him to gather him in his strong arms, he finally calmed down. he finally felt safe.

"kacchan is mine, no worries, it'll be okay. i'll protect mine..omega.." honestly everything izuku was babbling about did not make any sense to him at the moment but he nodded his head anyways.

totally unaware that izuku was about to pick him up,

barge into his nest and devour him.

yes, katsuki's heat somehow triggered izuku's rut. he's been triggering izuku's hormones for a while now and none of them knew.

"HE'S A FUCKING ALPHA ?"

"I-IM AN ALPHA ?"

"HOW THE HEL-"

"I CAN MATE KACCHAN NOW ?"

"h-hah ??? wait wait wait izuku, you're just declared as an alp-"

"IT'S BECAUSE KACCHAN IS AMAZING ! PRIME OMEGA IS AMAZING !! OH GOD I BIT KACCHAN LAST TIME SO WE'RE MATES ALREADY ? I CAN GET YOU PREG-"

"WAIT WAIT WAIT WAIT"

"IM KACCHAN'S ALPHA-"

"calm down, izuku."

"yes omega !"

katsuki took a deep breath, trying to think while izuku stares at him like a dog that's wagging its tail.

"want me to be yours ?"

"y-YES !"

katsuki hummed to himself in satisfaction. izuku looked ready, if anything it was as if he's been waiting for this moment his whole life.

"even if im a beta i-i want to be with kacchan..kacchan is an amazing prime omega so i thought it'll be impossible.. but I'm an alpha now !"

"i don't care why and how this happened..i just want to be kacchan's" izuku muttered, hissing when katsuki pinched his cheek.

"then you gotta be the best alpha for me, alright ?"

"y-yes kacchan !" when izuku nodded enthusiastically, katsuki rewarded him with a kiss.

"scent me, izuku."

"o-okay !"

"mark me."

"yes kacchan !"

he no longer has to worry about it some stupid extra alphas, it'll be izuku's problem to deal with. not like it'll be hard for him though.
