I'm really impressed by the commitment @elonmusk has shown to free speech. There is a lot of embarrassment that could result from letting Nick Fuentes back on, and the media will never praise him for it, but he did it anyway.

That said, I feel the need to speak out and not how unfair it is that Jared Taylor remains banned. Unlike Fuentes, who has praised Hitler, called for taking away the rights of women, and made Holocaust jokes, Jared Taylor has done none of those things. Yes, he believes in white identity politics and wants to severely restrict immigration. These are positions that I disagree with. Nonetheless, the man is unwaveringly civil and polite. I think that all forms of identity politics are morally unjustified, and I would look forward to the opportunity to try and change his mind on this issue.

With Jared, there is not even a hint of him encouraging violence or harassment. Sites that ban him are engaging in what is purely viewpoint-based censorship. This may be their right, but that position is inconsistent with the values of the new X.

Running a social media site is hard. It's easy to forget how constrained discourse used to be. Elon Musk has taken professional and financial risks to make this website into a pro-free speech platform, in one of the greatest acts of public altruism of our era. That said, I think that the Jared Taylor ban remains the main injustice that still needs to be corrected.
