katsuki is an omega but he never acted like one. he never scented, never purred, never asked a damn thing for his nest, never struggled during his heat- just never !

until izuku began courting him.

suddenly he's the most omega ever omega-ad.

unlike him, izuku is a model example of a good alpha. he's strong, reliable, protective, doting and is extremely kind. he's everything an alpha is, the embodiment of it.

when he decided to officially court katsuki, nobody was actually surprised.

he's been chasing after the omega all his life after all. if anything, people were more surprised by the fact that katsuki actually indulged.

"ew ? scenting is gross ! i don't wanna smell like some extras !" he said.

he hated rituals..or at least used to.

now he's the one grabbing izuku closer by the front of his shirt while the alpha giddily began scenting him.

ah yes, publicly. izuku is possessive, as any traditional alpha would be. these days people no longer scents publicly, some mates didn't even bother scenting outside

of their nest.

not midoriya izuku though. he's scenting /his/ omega like breathing. so much that you'd thought someone like katsuki would totally be against it..but nope !

the blonde wouldn't even flinch when his alpha suddenly decided to latch onto him, nosing at his neck.

izuku would randomly wrap his arms around katsuki's waist from behind, burying his face on the crook of his neck to inhale the sweet sugary scent before engulfing the omega with his own, stronger scent.

katsuki who never /purred/ even when someone like all might praises him

would purr just because 'damn nerd'z is around. he'd purr whenever izuku kisses him, be it on his lips or around his face or on the back of his hand. he'd purr at small praises from his alpha, enjoying every little attention he gets though he sometimes acted like he doesn't.

"kacchan is amazing today !"

katsuki who couldn't care less about nesting would now violently tug at his alpha's shirt, demanding the piece.

he swore piling up used clothing was gross before yet there he is, wearing izuku's hoodie even when the alpha had sweat in it. even better for him.

his nest is no longer just merely his parents clothes with some ikea blanket.

it's no longer being set up /only/ for minimal needs but rather much prettier and brighter.

there's a handmade deku plushie he crocheted and had shyly ( basically him yelling after throwing it straight to izuku's face the tsundere way ) asked the alpha to scent.

there's some all might plushies and blankets izuku had insisted on adding, softer ones from an actual nesting shop ( izuku bought them ) and piles of izuku's clothes along with their parent's. every weekend, they will rearrange the nest together according to the omega's likings.

katsuki is totally an omega now..but not a perfect one. not yet.

he can't be ✨perfect✨ if he's not permanently bonded to a perfect alpha, right ?

every time katsuki was asked such questions, he wanted to scream.

it's been four months since izuku began officially courting him. at first glance, people would think they've been mated for years...but they're not. for whatever reason, that dumb alpha hasn't claimed him yet. he never brought it up either !

"why do you care ?!" the blonde huffed, stomping his feet past the confused alpha.

despite katsuki picking up his pace, izuku chases after him regardless. the concerned alpha

pumped out a calming pheromone in hopes it'll ease the omega but instead, it pisses him off even more.

"im not in the mood ! imma go nap !"

"oh can i come ? we can cudd-"

"no."

"eh ?"

"don't eh me ? you can't just barge into an UNMATE omega's nest whenever you like, freak !"

the alpha blinked dumbly. his face distorted into what seems like a disappointment to sadness and then it leveled up to patheticness because fat tears began rolling down his freckled cheeks.

"i-i can't cuddle kacchan ? but..how can i scent kacchan ? d-did i do something wrong ?"

katsuki wanted to feel sorry but if anything, he's even angrier. izuku immediately began wiping his tears with the back of his hand when katsuki's scent transitioned to a heavier one.

it's not exactly sour or sweet. it's a scent only a sad kacchan would produce.

"why should i let a random alpha do whatever ? it's not like im claimed."

"then i'll claim you !"

"too late !!"

katsuki balled his fist before turning to face the dumbest alpha alive. he can't believe he's in love with him !

the alpha flinched at his outburst before squeaking out a "sorry kacchan !" like the loser he is.

katsuki stares at the alpha with eyes that is so hopeful and pure. they're filled with trust, tugging at izuku's weak heart.

"if you're not rea-"

katsuki gasped when sharp fangs immediately breached his skin without warning, forcing him to hold onto izuku as his knees wobbled.

he can smell it, their scent becoming one.

izuku kept him steady in his arms, the only reason he was still standing upright. the alpha repeatedly kisses the spot he had bitten, tentatively touching them as if in disbelief.

"w-wow..i- i bit kacchan? y-you're mine ?"

"took you long enough, dumbass."

katsuki craned his neck to show off the mark, assuring izuku that he's indeed /his/ now. he chuckled lightly when izuku aggressively pulled him into a hug, like an overexcited big dog.

"you're such an idiot..how come I like you ?"

he huffed, pretending to hate it when his alpha planted a soft kiss on his forehead, grinning as he does.

"i love you too, my kacchan"

"heh, next is pups and then i'll be THE perfect omega ever"
