He was just as hopeful as Izuku when it came to Bakugo’s return. But he didn’t seem happy at all when they saw each other that day!

It must have been what Kaminari and Sero said! It had to be!

The three sat in Sato’s restaurant in a nice secluded booth.

“So, tell me about that kid’s quirk! You said you were in another dimension?” Eijiro questioned.

“I’ll tell you later! You had something to say about the kid!” Katsuki asserted.

“Right um… Midoriya.” Eijiro looked at him sheepishly. “What I’m about to say might be upsetting.”

“I can handle it!” Izuku insisted. “I’ve never been one to need coddling, Kirishima-kun, but… I appreciate your concern.”

“I guess…” Eijiro shifted awkwardly. “There’s some things that have been going on for a long time you haven’t known about and I feel terrible for-”

“Just spit it out!” Katsuki snapped impatiently.

“Alright! Um… here goes nothing! This is important for context okay? I really don’t like to be a gossip but Mina hears everything and-” Eijiro’s face turned red.

“Shitty Hair!”

“It’s started with Todoroki! Because living with you and raising a kid with you, Midoriya is hard for him and his alpha! He wanted to be sure he didn’t come on to you or do anything that made you uncomfortable so he… you know… slept around a bit.”

“Huh?!”

Katsuki and Izuku looked at each other and shock. Neither were expecting this.

“And… the people he primarily slept with were Sero and Kaminari.”

“HUH?!” Izuku and Katsuki’s eyes bugged out of their heads.

“Yeah, I know, anyway, they both told him it wasn’t a big deal!”

“But they both totally got feelings for him! Todoroki didn’t know the half of it! It got ugly between the two of them! They both constantly one-up each other! They said horrible things and tried to turn all of us against the other! And then, they both found out the real problem”

“Izuku…” Katsuki put two and two together.

“H-huh? How am I a problem?!” Izuku questioned worriedly. “I didn’t even know Todoroki-kun was doing this!”

“You didn’t do anything wrong! But, you and Yagi were Todoroki’s number one priority!” Eijiro assured him.

“Don’t sugarcoat it. Half and Half was into you way more than them.” Katsuki supplied.

“Kacchan, I told you, it wasn’t like that!” Izuku defended Shoto.

“Midoriya. It /is/ like that.” Eijiro sighed.

“You both have it wrong!” Izuku insisted.

“I’ve been living with him all these years, I know-”

“Any idiot raising a kid with you all these years would be attracted to you!” Katsuki barked. “I don’t like it but I don’t blame the guy!”

“Anyway,” Eijiro cleared his throat. “Remember when Kaminari lashed out at you?”

“That phone call? Is that what it was really about?” Izuku put the pieces together.

“What the hell did he say?” Katsuki questioned.

“Just that I was keeping Todoroki from living his life. It’s true… but… now I know that wasn’t coming from a place of concern…” Izuku grumbled.

“Yeah, well, after that Todoroki cut both of them off! You also probably didn’t realize but he tried to keep the two from interacting with you as much as possible!” Eijiro shook his head. “But of course you were non the wiser, so you invited them to Yagi’s presentation party!”

“His what?” Katsuki cringed.

“I wanted him to feel confident!” Izuku defended himself.

“Yeah, well…. The two of them couldn’t get to you or Todoroki anymore so they went for Yagi!” Eijiro revealed.

“What?!”

“The hell they do?!” Katsuki growled.

“Bakugo… we all believed you were dead except Midoriya and Yagi. Midoriya kept you alive in your home and that’s something no one felt comfortable stepping on. If Yagi wanted to believe him, we all agreed not to say otherwise! Until that party…” Eijiro said sadly.

“What did they say?!” Izuku felt his stomach twist.

“They crushed him and tried to force him to see ‘reality’” Kirishima said guiltily. “They told him you were crazy and it was time he saw that. That it was your omega’s fault. It was the only way you could survive!”

“And they hammered it in that Bakugo was never coming back and Todoroki was his real Dad and he was being cruel by not seeing him that way! It was a rough thing to say to a kid! I tried to stop them but Yagi kind of snapped after and stormed off…”

“So he got his hopes crushed and blamed Izuku for giving him hope.” Katsuki clicked his tongue. “Guess he inherited by stupidity too.”

Izuku was quiet as he took in everything Kirishima told him. “What should I have done?” He asked guiltily.

“The thought of Yagi getting his hopes crushed like that…” He teared up. “Kacchan, when he was little… he used to practice ways he would meet you, ya know? He used to run around in your costume pieces… I used to have to hide the grenades….”

“‘When I meet Papa’ was something he said often…” Izuku hiccupped. “But… I don’t know if that was right thing. Should I have let him believe you were dead? That seems crueler. You showing up and him thinking ghosts exist! I don’t know… and everything with Todoroki…”

“Should I have just raised Yagi by myself? Would have been happier that way? I-”

“Hey.” Katsuki roughly wiped his tears with his thumb. “There’s no point in thinking of the what ifs right now! If I was more careful about that golden haired kid, none of us would be in this hell!”

“But I can’t do anything about that! And you can’t do anything about Half and Half sticking his knot in crazy! What we can do is help that kid!”

“Kacchan…”

“He needs all of us. Todoroki too! So come on! Let’s show him what his real family is like! Whether he likes it or not!”

Izuku smiled and grabbed his hand. He had never been more glad that he was back.

“A small fire broke out on a trail in Musutafu today! Luckily the damage didn’t spread too far due to an anonymous tip from a hiker who-”

“Let’s turn that off!” Aizawa Eri yawned to her cat.

“Look at me, I’m always telling the kids to rest up and stay healthy but now I’m down with the flu! I’m pathetic!” She rested her head on her cat, Lemillie’s belly.

“Meow!” Lemillie suddenly leapt away causing UA’s school nurse to fall to the floor.

“Mmmm….” She grumbled at her headache when suddenly there was a frantic knock at her door. “Who is it?” She questioned.

“Aunt Eri…. It’s me….”

“Huh? Yagi-kun?” She got up and opened the door, and gasped at the sight she saw.

Yagi was white as a sheet and trembling all over as he had an unrecognizable charred body in his arms. “I need your help….” he cried helplessly. “And please don’t tell mom!”

“You really didn’t leave this place all time?” Katsuki questioned as they approached the apartment.

“I didn’t know where you were.” Izuku smiled at him. “I just thought, maybe, when you did come back, you would look for me! Because that’s what I would do! If it was me…”

“I gotta relate to your brat then.” Katsuki smirked. “This place is a dump!”

“It is not!” Izuku fumed. “It’s cozy!”

“I told you when you got it that you could afford better!”

“Well, when I was a hero, I was hardly home!” Izuku asserted. “I didn’t need a fancy place!”

“But if you did what I said and got one, Half and Half wouldn’t have had to camp out in a closet!” Katsuki teased. “I would have ran to that fancy penthouse I told you to get!”

“Fine, Kacchan. You were right, happy?” Izuku grumbled.

“No.” Katsuki kissed him.

“My plan was to slowly move all my crap in until you had no choice but to get a bigger place! Then you would definitely ask me to stay.” He looked into his eyes intensely. “I hate that I missed everything. I don’t know anything about being a parent! And I feel useless here.”

“If it was me? I’d never call some guy five years older than me my Dad! That’s just embarrassing.” Katsuki grumbled. “But he’s still my kid! That’s the reality! So… I gotta give this everything I got! Even if I fuck up! Just… promise you won’t get mad when I do…”

“Kacchan…” Izuku chuckled nervously. “It’s my fault it’s so hard! If only I had prepared Yagi better! Not given him so much hope. Told him that what I felt may be strong! And was certainly reality, but those who were with you at Shiketsu might feel very different!”

“If only I was stronger and didn’t break when my own son lashed out at me… I could have talked to him! I could have told him it was okay!”

“Izuku.” Katsuki sighed. “It wasn’t okay! Whatever those bastards said to him didn’t give him an excuse to say that shit to you!”

“If you were his parent, that kid probably had the most loving home! He’s lashing out like I used to because he doesn’t know how to handle his feelings! But none of it is okay! He’s not going to get anywhere until he gets over himself! Luckily,” he squeezed Izuku’s hand.

“We both have people that love us that are willing to wait till we get our shit together.”

Izuku smiled at his mate before gently kissing him on the cheek. “You’re already showing me you’re a great sire, Kacchan.”

He unlocked the apartment and was surprised to find it empty.

Not only was no one home, but mostly everything was packed up in boxes.

“Yagi? Yagi, are you home?!” Izuku ran to his room to see it empty except for a note on the bed.

“Bakugo?” Shoto entered the apartment shortly after they arrived and was surprised to see him.

“Hey. Have you seen the kid?” Katsuki questioned. “He wasn’t at your old man’s.”

“I accidentally slept in. I came here to look for him.” Shoto informed him.

“…No!”

They both were startled by Izuku’s pained cry.

They rushed into Yagi’s room to see Izuku sitting on the bed reading a long note.

“Shit, did he run away?!” Katsuki questioned.

“What does it say?” Shoto held his hand out and Izuku handed him the letter.

Katsuki had to tip toe in order to read it over Todoroki’s much taller shoulders.

‘Dear Mom,

I don’t know how to face you in person anymore. What I said, you didn’t deserve. I’m really sorry. If I could take it back, I would! I want you to know, this has nothing to do with you’

‘I’m not coming back home. You never got to tell me or Uncle Shoto where the new house is anyway. I think it’s best if I drop out of UA too. I’m not someone you can be proud of! I’m not someone who can pass on yours and Great Explosion Murder God DynaMight’s legacy!’

‘Speaking of… Father, I’m talking to you DynaMight, I don’t think you’re a bad guy. You make mom really happy after all. I can tell. That’s cool. Even cooler than all the stories people tell me about your hero days. You don’t have to worry about me. You and mom can start over!’

‘And Papa… (that’s you, ‘Uncle Shoto’) you should find someone who chooses you! You can finally start your life! I’m going to be okay. Don’t worry mom, where I’m going is safe and warm and there’s clothes for me and lots of food!’

‘You can be truly happy now that I’m not there to make you sad. I know I’m the one who messed everything up! It’s not your fault or Papa’s or my Father’s! So thank you, mom. I hope I can return one day and face you, for real! I love you!

Yagi.’

“Where could he have gone?!”

Shoto questioned.

“We have to find him!” Izuku cried. “He said he would be safe and okay, right?! So someone we know has to know where he is! He has to be with someone he knows!”

“Don’t worry, Izuku.” Katsuki sighed. “I’ve got an idea.”

Kaminari woke up with a large gasp of air in somewhere unfamiliar. “AHHHH! AH! Where am I?!” He shivered before holding himself. “I feel gross!”

“I understand what you mean…” Eri sighed in relief. “Coming back to life takes a huge toll on you….” She panted in exhaustion.

“Back to life?!” Kaminari looked around frantically. “I died?! How?! A villain attack?!”

“I was hoping to ask you…” She slumped to the ground. “You were brought to me all burned up… but Ya- the person who brought you ran off before I could ask questions!”

“Oh, well thanks Eri-Chan!”

“Luckily your blood was still warm… if they brought you later, I wouldn’t have been able to do anything.” She informed him. “You really don’t remember anything at all?”

“The last thing I remember was….” Denki rattled his brain. “Being angry?”

Sero had called him that morning to brag that Todoroki was sleeping in his bed!

“Thats right. He stayed. I might even make him breakfast.” Hanta bragged. “Just because Bakugo’s back doesn’t mean you stand any chance, got it?”

After that, Denki went for a walk to blow off some steam and he must have ran into some sort of villain! But someone had to have seen him and known the only one who could help was Eri! Maybe a UA student? He didn’t know! But he had to thank them!

“Mreow!” Lemillie dropped Eri’s remote on the floor which caused the TV to turn back on.

“Great Explosion Murder God DynaMight had been confirmed alive! We have the very first sighting of him in in front of UA! His formerly widowed partner Deku and Hero Shoto are by his side!”

“Our reporters are on the scene now!”

“Oh… that’s right outside.” Eri noted as she rubbed her head.

“I should use this as a chance to get home then!” Denki said worriedly before reaching into his pockets. “Hey… did uh.. my keys get destroyed too?”

“Yacchan! What are we doing?!” Risa questioned worriedly.

“I told you to just shut up on follow me!” Yagi snapped.

“Why do you have a backpack full of things? Are we going camping?” She ignored him.

“Risa, listen to me.” Yagi grabbed her wrists.

“I called you because I need your quirk! Mine is too loud! You’ve been a great friend or cousin all these years, okay? You’re going to make an amazing hero too! One Auntie Fuyumi can be proud of! I never ask you for anything but I really need your help! So… please?”

“What am I helping you with?” Risa asked in concern.

“Just follow me!”

She felt a weird feeling stir in her stomach the closer they got to their destination. A… prison?

“Come on!” Yagi entered through the back ‘hero entrance’ using a key pass.

“How did you get that?!”

Risa questioned.

“It doesn’t matter! What matters is we have to keep quiet! Put this on!” He handed her something that looked like a costume while he put on a ninja-like mask. He then walked to a computer and stuck the key pass in it.

‘Hero: Chargebolt. Password please:”

“Of course.” Yagi sighed before thinking for a long moment.

“Try yay!” Risa suggested.

“I don’t that’s-” He then looked at her white hair before narrowing his eyes. He typed in the computer ‘Shoto’ and gagged when it let him in. He always felt things were weird between them!

‘Chargebolt. Number 12 Hero. Prism Tier. Unlimited Information Access.’

Yagi smirked at the words before looking up the name of the villain who sent his father away! ‘Shikudo Soma’

“He’s in level two! Come on!” He grabbed Risa’s wrist, making her drop her phone.

“Wait! Your Papa’s on the news!” Risa ripped her hand away and grabbed her phone. “Wait… what’s happening? Why is he saying you’re missing?!”

“Put that away! Come on! We don’t have a lot of time now!”

“No! I’m not going one step further until you tell me why we’re here!”

“Fine.” Yagi took a moment before staring into her eyes seriously. “You want to know how I got these keys?” He held them up, dangling the lightning bolt keychain. “I killed for them, Risa.”

“H-huh?” Risa blinked.

“You kept asking me why I’ve changed so much. Why I’m not happy,”

“Why I don’t have that doe-eyed expression that mom wears so well. It’s because he’s a hero and I’m not! I made him drop! And if he hadn’t survived, he would have been the second hero I killed. We’re here because I need to be stopped before I do worse…”

“Mom says that a lot of villains become that way because they don’t understand how to use their quirks to help people. The guy that threw my father into nowhere? He can really make a difference in this world! 16 years at a time! If he sends me-”

“No!” Risa snapped.

“You can’t just leave! That makes no sense at all!”

“Are you going to let me be arrested then? You’re going to let mom find out I murdered someone?! He’ll certainly drop again if he finds out what I did. And you can keep quiet and help me or you can let him die! Up to you!”

Risa took a deep breath before resigning herself to her cousins stubbornness. “Fine… what do you need me to do?”

“We don’t need to break him out of prison… but if you can freeze his quirk suppressing cuffs, I can easily break them into pieces!” Yagi informed her.

“I’ll tell him you’ll free him if he sends me away! But you don’t have to do that part! As soon as I’m gone, you can let a guard know his cuffs fell off. I don’t care.” Yagi shrugged. “Just don’t tell mom what I said Chargebolt. No one needs to know but you and me.”

“I don’t like this… but I don’t want you to get in trouble so… I’ll do it.” Risa grumbled.

“Good. Now stay quiet. We can’t draw attention to ourselves.”

She nodded her head as she followed him before discreetly sending her location to her Uncle Shoto.

“He what?!” Izuku’s jaw dropped as Eri told him what happened earlier that day.

“I’m not exactly sure what happened. I just know he was scared! I wish I could have made him stay and talk to him, but in order to save Kaminari-San, I had to act fast!”

“There’s no way he did that to him! Yagi would never do something like that!” Izuku stressed. “Maybe he found him and-”

“Or maybe it was an accident.” Katsuki supplied. “Half and Half, what were you up to this morning?” He questioned.

“Huh? What does that have to do with-”

“We know about you being Half in, Half out with Kaminari and Sero. Shitty Hair told us this morning! Were you with one of ‘em?” Katsuki pushed.

“Um…” Shoto frantically turned to Izuku was awkwardly looking away. “Yes… I was with Sero this morning.” He shamefully admitted.

“Figures. Sorry. Eri-chan! Cover your ears!” Katsuki instructed.

“I’m 26.”

“YOU ARE NOT OLDER THAN ME! KEEP YOUR EARS COVERED!”

Eri sighed before doing as instructed.

“Long story short, your little toys couldn’t get to tog anymore so they took it out on Yagi!”

“How?!”

“They told him I was dead, Izuku was crazy, he needs to be a better son to you blah blah blah. If you’re still dipping your knot in one of ‘em. What do you think happened? The other one tried to get revenge! And look what that got him!”

“You think he attacked Yagi?!”

Izuku questioned.

“I bet whatever he did, he’s damn lucky that kid was raised by you!” Katsuki insisted while the three of them looked down sadly.

Shoto then got a notification on his phone that startled him. “Huh?” His eyes then widened in realization.

“What is it?”

“It’s Risa… we have to go, now!” Shoto stood up.

“Is she with him?!” Izuku questioned hopefully.

“Yes! But they’re at Tokyo Ward! That’s where the villain who sent Bakugo away is! He’s trying to disappear!”

“COME ON!” Katsuki grabbed Izuku’s waist. “I’ll get us there fast!”

Yagi and Risa evaded heroes gazes thanks to their trusty disguises.

“This place is stupidly easy to sneak in and out of when you have a key!” Risa noted.

“Shush! Don’t be so loud.” He whispered harshly as they got to the staircase that led to the prison wards.

He swiped the key pass and sulked when he saw there was another long hallway before actually getting to any stairs.

“Why is this place like a maze?!” He questioned in irritation. “What’s the point of a hero entrance if it takes longer than just going through the front?!”

“Didn’t you pay attention in class?!” Rosa scolded him. “Hero entrances are there for emergency prison visits in case you need intel from a villain! You bypass the normal security measures but they make them difficult to navigate on purpose in case a prisoner tries to escape!”

Yagi felt uneasy as he grabbed her hand and ran to the staircase.

“There’s really no elevator?!” He grumbled.

“Afraid not.” Risa huffed. “Wait! Ah! Wait! You’re pulling too hard! Just…. Give me a second to breathe!”

“I don’t have a second!” Yagi seethed.

“Please!” She cried and Yagi groaned as she took a long moment to catch her breath.

“How can you be this out of shape?! You wiped the floor everyone but me in a training exercise a week ago?!” He question in irritation.

“I think… yesterday’s lesson wore me out!”

Yagi glared at her suspiciously as he watched her exaggerate her breathing.

“Fuck this! Grab hold of me!” He grabbed by the waist and launched himself with an explosion higher and higher!

“Well now you’re definitely drawing attention to us!” Risa shreiked.

Yagi didn’t care! He needed to just find this guy! And get him to send him away so he couldn’t hurt his mom! So Uncle Shoto would had nothing to tie him down anymore! So his father could get his life back without a kid he clearly didn’t want in the way!

He got to the top of the case swiped his key and he ran into someone as soon as he opened the door.

“Ack!”

“Well well well, look who was a little too slow.” Katsuki crossed his arms.

“You-” Yagi growled before being startled by his mom throwing his arms around him.

“YAGI!”

Izuku cried. “What are you doing here?! Just what are you thinking?!”

“Thank you, Risa for helping find him.” Shoto sighed in relief.

“YOU TRAITOR!” Yagi screamed.

“I’m sorry! But I couldn’t just let you leave for 16 years!” Risa cried. “It wouldn’t be right!”

“So Kacchan was right then? That’s why you’re here!” Izuku cried. “Why Yagi?!”

“I told you why!” Yagi shoved him away. “I’m a bad person who does bad things! I shouldn’t be around you anymore or Papa or DynaMight! I’ll just make you suffer! I’ll just keep hurting you!”

“So you think running away will solve all your problems?!” Katsuki questioned. “We can’t let you go through that mindfuck! You’re not gonna grow at all! But everyone else will grow without you! And they’ll be worrying about you and putting their lives hold until you come back!”

“I’M NOTHING LIKE YOU, DYNAMIGHT! IT WON’T BE THE SAME BECAUSE I’M NOT A HERO! I’M A VILLAIN! ONE THAT NEEDS TO GO AWAY FOR A LONG TIME FOR WHAT I DID TO MOM! FOR WHAT I DID TO UNCLE KAMINARI! I’M SOLVING A PROBLEM BEFORE IT GETS WORSE?! CAN’T YOU SEE?!” Yagi cried.

“YOU’RE NOT SOLVING ANY PROBLEMS! THEY WILL STILL BE HERE WHEN GET BACK!” Katsuki asserted. “All you’ll have is regrets of what could have been had you stayed! You think I’m prepared to be a dad?! No! But damnit, I would have loved to figure it out when you were in diapers!”

“I would have loved to be with Izuku when he was expecting you and had him shoot down all the stupid names I could have given you! I want to have been there so none of this was ever a problem! But I can’t!”

“But I am here now! So Yagi!” Katsuki held his hand out. “I’m your father! It’s nice to meet you!”

Yagi stared at his hand before whacking it away as he realized how horrible of an impression he’s made. “Stop it.. I… dreamt of that my whole life…” he sobbed.

“I was supposed to be cool and strong and number one at the sports festival just like you… I was supposed to be able to say to your face I made mom happy while you were gone… I was supposed to be different! I’m terrible! I’m a villain… your son is a villain!”

“I don’t care, Yagi!” Izuku pulled him by the waist off the floor. “If you’re a villain, then you’re a considerate one who makes sure the ones he hurts get help when he goes too far! If you’re a villain, then let Kacchan and Todoroki try to stop you as heroes!”

“Please stay! I’ll hide you if they close in on you! I’ll make you a costume that would look cool and keep you warm if you want! My mom can tech me!” Izuku insisted. “If you insist that you’re a villain then stay here! Stay here with me and we’ll work it out together!”

“What are you saying?!” Yagi questioned.

“I’m saying I don’t care how far you go down the wrong path! Let me at least try to stop you as your mom! Let me be here for all of it! Stay here Yagi! Stay and fight me and hate me and push me away all you want, I don’t care!”

“I don’t want to lose you! I don’t want to live any day without you! I learned the hard way what happens when you don’t tell the ones you love you want them to stay! So please!” Izuku hugged him tight and cried in his shoulder. “Just stay with your crazy useless mom!”

“Mama….” Yagi pulled his away and looked into his eyes before breaking down. “I’m sorry I said that! I’m sorry! I’m so sorry!” He wailed. “You’re not useless at all!”

“And you’re not a villain….” Izuku cried with him. “You’ll always be Mama’s favorite hero!”

They cried into each other’s arms for a long time before Shoto wrapped his arms around both of them.

Katsuki watched on sadly before Shoto pulled him into the embrace as well with his stupidly long arms! And then Fuyumi’s brat joined in on her own.

Katsuki knew this was only the beginning of a long journey. Sero and Kaminari needed to face the music for what they had done! Eri-chan may have said that Kaminari forgot what happened but memories tend to resurface at the worst times!

And Katsuki, Izuku, Todoroki needed to figure out how they move on from here. What is going to happen with Half and Half? What is the best thing for Katsuki to do with his agency that his mate has kept alive all this time? Jumping back into hero work right away felt wrong!

Katsuki couldn’t be a hero without knowing his own kid! There was a lot on the line, but he was done waiting for Izuku to ask him to be what he needed! It was time he figured out his life /with/ him!

He grabbed Izuku’s hand and kissed it.

“Let’s go home.”

Yagi listened intensely to every word his mom spoke as they approached their new house, with everything they have ever owned packed away in the back of a truck.

“The neighborhood is really close to your agency, Todoroki-kun, and it’s only a quick train ride to UA!”

“He won’t need to take the train, Midoriya. My driver will take him to school instead of me to work.” Shoto stated.

Yagi watched Katsuki as he rolled his eyes in the passenger seat, clearly not completely happy with Uncle Shoto living with them.

It was his idea in the first place, though which surprised Yagi! It made him realize despite how rash and harsh his sire was, he was also kind and empathetic in his own way.

The apartment was small, so of course Yagi could hear them negotiating when they thought he was asleep.

“I’m sorry for doing something so impulsive without discussing it with you and Yagi…” Izuku had said regretfully. “This house is a good chance for us to all start over but… we don’t have a lot of time to decide what we’re going to do!”

“Bakugo.” Shoto had said seriously. “I’ve been here all these years because I couldn’t stand the thought of Midoriya doing this alone! I never wanted to take your place! I’ve just wanted to help. Yagi and Izuku may have become my family but I also know they’re yours!”

There was a long moment of silence while Yagi’s heart beat quickly.

“Izuku. What do you want to do?” Katsuki had questioned him.

“I.. want to do what’s best for Yagi! But I also want to do what’s best for us! And.. I don’t want to just kick you out after all you’ve done for us Todoroki! But I also don’t want to hold you back from living your life! I want you to be happy! I want us all to be happy! I-”

“Fine then.” Katsuki sighed deeply. “Half and Half. Stay with us till the brat graduates UA.”

“Really?” Shoto questioned gratefully.

“He clearly needs it! I’m still trying to find my place in his life, and I won’t be able to do that by blowing up the only family he’s known!”

“Whatever happened between you before I came back isn’t gonna heal overnight either. We’re all going to the new place!” Katsuki asserted.

“Kacchan…” Izuku said emotionally before Yagi had to cover his ears from all the gross kissy noises. “Thank you! Thank you!”

“This is the house right here!” Izuku’s voice broke Yagi out of his thoughts as they pulled into a rather large looking cottage house. “I bought it because trees reminded me a lot of our old neighborhood, Kacchan! It’s peaceful and the inside is cozy!”

“There’s four rooms and a basement! I got the basement temperature controlled so I could store my figurines there but that’s only if I get it! If you would rather turn it into something else-”

“You can have your nerd cave, Izuku.” Katsuki chuffed.

“That’s fine with me too.”

Shoto noted.

“But Yagi! If you would rather use it for-”

“I have figured I wanna store too, mom.” Yagi mumbled before Izuku turned around and smiled at him so brightly, it was blinding.

“Of course! They will definitely be safe in there!”

Yagi forced a smile back at him but truthfully guilt still haunted him every day. It was his fault his mom broke and bought them a house in the first place. He was happy to hear him explain every detail as they toured the house. His every thought into why he bought it.

The details he liked and the ones he thought they could easily fixed up!

“The yard is nice and big so we can finally have guests over and maybe even get a dog!”

“A dog?!” Katsuki questioned.

“You always wanted one, right Kacchan?! I remember when we were 6,”

“you had us help you plan the murder of your parents because they refused to get you one due to Uncle Masaru’s allergy!” Izuku laughed.

“It was a good plan!” Katsuki fumed.

“Yagi always wanted a dog or cat too! He even brought a snake in one time! He loves animals!”

“It’s fine! We don’t have to get a dog…” Yagi sighed as he looked at the spacious yard. “Unless you want to…”

He knew whatever thought his mom voiced out loud about this house could have been his last ones. The more he talked, the more grateful Yagi was that he was alive.

And it was all thanks to his sire returning from the void he was cast into.

“Let’s get settled in before we decide on something like that.” Katsuki scolded his mate.

“Right! Sorry! I’m just… so happy we’re all here!” Izuku smiled at him.

Yagi wanted to say ‘me too.’ But he didn’t know how anymore. He didn’t know how he was allowed to be happy when he caused so much trouble. He just knew he needed to stop causing anymore.

“Alright! Izuku and I get the big room, everyone else pick what you want!” Katsuki declared.

Yagi took his time unpacking his room which was rather big in and of itself. It had a reading nook, and was big enough to have friends over. It was bigger than the living room and kitchen combined at their old apartment. There was a lot of space. Space he wasn’t used to having.

After getting his books on the shelf, he heard a light knock on his door.

“Yagi? How are you doing?” Izuku questioned.

“I’m fine Mama. I’m just putting these books up!”

“Need help?” Izuku opened the door shyly and Yagi quietly nodded his head.

“How do you like the house? I’ve actually never lived in one before myself.” Izuku questioned as he helped organize the books just like Yagi liked it.

“It’s big.” Yagi noted. “But it’s cool, I guess.”

“I’m glad you like it! Kacchan thinks it should be bigger!” Izuku hummed.

“You always said when he comes back, he’ll probably get us a mansion.” Yagi noted.

“I did, didn’t I?” Izuku smiled shyly.

“So it’s my fault he doesn’t like it, right? If I didn’t make you-”

“You didn’t make me do anything!” Izuku insisted.

“If I wanted to. I could have withdrawn the sale when I recovered from my drop. Our landlord would have understood if I withdrew our notice too! But… I think this is about as big of a space as I can handle right now! Kacchan will deal with it!” He stuck his tongue out.

“He really makes you happy, huh mom?” Yagi smiled softly.

“You make me happy too!” Izuku insisted. “And your Papa…. Truthfully, I don’t know what I would have done without Shoto-kun! But, I think the reason I was able to have so much faith in your sire returning is you!”

“Why me?” Yagi questioned.

“Because you’re so amazing, Yagi! I’m so proud to call you mine! Even at your worst, and you were a terrible toddler! I still thought, Kacchan is going to love him! You’re the most amazing thing I’ve ever done!” Izuku beamed making Yagi break down.

“How can you say that?! After all I’ve said and done?! I killed someone, mom!”

“Kaminari lived.” Izuku shrugged before hugging him. “Because you did the right thing and brought him to your Auntie Eri. Kacchan used to be mean to me too… but that didn’t stop me from seeing him!”

“It doesn’t make you a villain! It makes you a human! One who was pushed too far! It was wrong what you said to me. It was wrong what you did. But whether you like it or not, you’re stuck with my love! And my pride.” Izuku cried with him.

“Thank you… thank you, Mama!”

Yagi sobbed. “I don’t deserve you! I don’t!”

“Shh… of course you do.” Izuku kissed his forehead. “And you’ll show me exactly how like you always have!”

“Mm… mmhmm!” Yagi nodded his head. “I… really like the house, mom!”

“Me too!” Izuku held him tight.

Katsuki leaned against the door and felt his heart squeeze tight. He wished he could have been there all these years. But he knew wishing didn’t do anything. He was here now! And damnit, this was his family.

“Yo!” He knocked on the door before barging in. “I’m making Katsudon!”

Izuku and Katsuharu both beamed in excitement.

“MY FAVORITE!” They said at the same time.

Katsuki smirked before turning around. “Good! Hope you like spice too!”

“And Soba!” Shoto called from across the hall.

“And soba for you!”

They all sat around the dinner table and talked happily and light heartedly as Izuku’s heart felt warmer and warmer. He loved his family so much! But… bitterness couldn’t help but creep up the more he ate.

Kaminari woke up from another nightmare coughing his lungs out. It was the same one he had for the past three days. He took Yagi on a hike then upset him and then the kid… killed him? Was that really what happened to him? Is that why he was brought to Eri-chan?
