@EriCheri3: Waiting in the Todoroki family...

Waiting in the Todoroki family home was Katsuki’s parents, All Might, Izuku’s mom, Iida, Sero, Kirishima and Kaminari.

“IT’S REALLY YOU!” Mitsuki threw her arms around her son and sobbed as Masaru followed.

It was hard for Katsuki to reconcile it’s been years.

He wanted to tell everyone who was there to fuck off and leave him and his mate alone!That Izuku needed to rest and shit like this was easily overwhelming! But everyone there had a reason to be this annoying! Because to them, Katsuki was a gonner!

Even Katsuki wasn’t so cruel as to disregard their feelings.

Everyone was happy and in high spirits all afternoon as they reunited. Izuku was also happy as everyone exchanged stories to Katsuki about his son.

“We’re all very proud of him.” All Might smiled.

“He’s the best of both of you!”

“He’s named after the one we admire most, afterall.” Izuku supplied.

“Are you okay, Young Midoriya?” All Might questioned. “You look tired.”

“I’m fine! Kacchan and I just had a lot to catch up on! We could hardly sleep!”

Katsuki sighed at the lie. Even though Izuku had been in a coma, his body needed lots of rest to recover. They were barely able to talk for over an hour before the omega succumbed to his exhaustion. The look on his face when Katsuki greeted him in the morning was everything.

“You finally stayed.” He said in great relief. “It wasn’t a dream…”

It was clear he needed more rest and the more everyone talked about Yagi, the more Katsuki could see and feel his anxiety. What was he so worried about? Everyone sung the kids high praises!

“I bet that really shocked you out of your drop, huh?” Kaminari said chipperly causing the entire room to go quiet. Nobody knew or believed the reports!

“How did you know?!” Shoto seethed.

“Oh shoot… sorry the kid told me about it!” Denki said nervously.

“So the reports were true? Izuku, what happened?” His mom rushed to his side.

“Uh…” Izuku looked at everyone’a concerned faces and panicked.

“Nothing that we can explain in so little time! Midoriya needs to rest and I’m sorry but you all should go home!” Shoto said quickly.

“S-sorry!” Kaminari covered his mouth.

“It’s fine! You all can stay! I-” Izuku struggled to speak up.

“He’s very very happy now. Right, mom?” Yagi’s voice startled everyone as he returned from school.

“Yagi…” Izuku greeted hesitantly.

“The hell are you wearing that for?” Yagi grimaced at the uniform Katsuki was wearing. “Aren’t you like 20 or something?”

“We needed to keep the reporters from following us!” Shoto informed him. “Sorry, can you all leave?” He addressed everyone else.

“You got this, Katsuki.” Mitsuki gave Katsuki an encouraging squeeze before everyone gave the family some much needed privacy.

“Hi! I’m the one who told you what year it was!” Risa appeared from behind Yagi. “You guys are twins! Exciting!”

“Us too, Risa!” Fuyumi guided her.

Katsuki watched everyone leave the room anxiously as he suddenly didn’t want them to leave! He knew nothing about parenting, especially a teenager! What did the kid expect from him? A hug? That almost seemed disingenuous! He heard stories all day about him but really,

the kid was a stranger!

“Um… Yagi, this is Kacchan! And Kacchan, this is our son!” Izuku nervously introduced but the way he did it made Yagi’s stomach twist. He was using that guy as a barrier between them. Hiding like he was afraid of his own child!

“I’m YOUR son!” Yagi snapped, causing Izuku to flinch. “Not his!”

“Hey, what’s with the attitude?!” Katsuki growled protectively. “I know I’m a stranger but don’t take your anger out on him!”

“Kacchan it’s fine!” Izuku said desperately.

“Newsflash Kacchan, it’s not fine!” Yagi said mockingly.

“Yagi!” Shoto snapped.

“What is it, father? You want me to replace you with this guy?” He pointed at Katsuki. “Or are you and mom replacing me?! Hell, he looks the part already!”

“I could never replace you Yagi!” Izuku asserted before running and throwing his arms around him. “I’m sorry you feel that way! I’m sorry I failed you! I-”

“You were willing to die when you finally accepted he was gone!” Yagi shoved him off of him. “YOU WERE GOING TO LEAVE ME!”

“Your sorries mean nothing! You got what you always wanted! So live your pathetic life without-”

“BAKUGO!” Shoto grabbed Katsuki’s hand just in time before it slapped Yagi across the face.

“Let me go Half and Half!” Katsuki fumed.

“Kid said I wasn’t his parent, right?! Then let me put him in his place Mano a Mano! Listen here brat!” He shoved Shoto off him and grabbed Yagi by the collar. “I don’t care about this ‘you’re not my real dad’ bull crap you got going on!”

“I can’t help that I was warped into oblivion! Your mom can’t help that he knows me better than any of these assholes who assumed I was dead! So what’s your deal?! What’s got you so worked up, you made my mate drop?!” Katsuki growled.

“How did you-” Izuku gasped.

“It wasn’t hard to put two and two together, Izuku!” Katsuki asserted. “Tell me, brat! What did you say to him?!”

“Fuck off!” Yagi burst into tears before kicking Katsuki in the nuts.

“Ah!”

“I’m going to bed! Mom! You have terrible taste in men!” He cried before running away.

The three were quiet for a long moment after he left.

“Well that went about as well as it could have.” Shoto sighed.

“When did you learn sarcasm?” Katsuki questioned.

“I wasn’t being sarcastic. I’ll go talk to him. Midoriya, it’s not your fault.” Shoto pat his head.

“It’ll get better.”

As soon as Shoto left the room, Izuku collapsed into Katsuki’s arms.

“Izuku!”

“It wasn’t always like this…” Izuku said as he trembled from the stress. “Yagi really was a happy child… he used to look up to you… he used to be my best friend…”

“I don’t know what happened… he presented alpha and suddenly became bitter and angry… he told me…” Izuku huffed, clearly deciding whether or not he should say the whole truth. “He told me you probably moved on with someone more useful than a quirkless omega.”

“I realized then he hated me and I didn’t know how to handle it. I tried to grieve you to make it better but my efforts did nothing. He refused to talk to me, refused to eat with us, didn’t notice any changes I made around the apartment to move on from you. So… I bought a house”

“I thought that would make him happy but… I still didn’t believe it. No matter how much I forced myself, no matter how much I pushed my hope away. No matter how much I grieved you, I still knew you were out there! And I realized I couldn’t earn Yagi’s love back!” He cried.

“Izuku.” Katsuki kneeled in front of him and wiped his tears him thumbs. “Something’s up with that kid but he doesn’t hate you. I could tell. It’s my face after all.” He sighed. “Wish he wouldn’t make the same mistakes I did! But, I gotta say,”

“I’m pretty bummed. You finally found someone you love more in this world than me, huh?”

Izuku looked at him sadly before passing out in exhaustion. Katsuki didn’t know where they were supposed to sleep in this house so he just held him as he laid down on the floor.

Katsuki knew he didn’t handle meeting that kid the right way at all. He was clearly in a lot of pain.

Shoto knocked lightly on his old bedroom door as he heard Yagi sobbing on the other side.

“It’s just me, Yagi.” He announced before entering.

“Why are you here?! Don’t you want to kiss that guys ass too?!” Yagi snapped.

Shoto watched him cry angrily before sitting next to him on his bed. “You were right.”

“Huh?”

“I do see you as my son. I never told you because I wanted to honor your mom’s feelings.”

“It’s too late for that.” Yagi grumbled. “Mom’s replaced you too.”

“You know that’s not true. Bakugo isn’t a replacement. Midoriya’s worked hard your whole upbringing to make room for him when he comes back. There’s never been anything to replace. He’s always been here.”

“Sure, it was crazy to do. But he did it for all of us. Especially you!” Shoto insisted. “I never tried to stop him because you never had a problem with it until now… I want to understand you! So tell me, where is this all coming from?!”

Yagi didn’t say anything for a long moment before grabbing blanket and crying into it. “It doesn’t matter!”

“Of course it matters!”

“No! It doesn’t! I keep hurting mom!” He sobbed. “I don’t know how to stop! I made him drop and then I screamed at him when he lived through it!”

“The only thing keeping him alive is that guy! I should be grateful but I can’t be! Hurting mom is the only way I can feel I’m more important than him! I’m sick in the head! I don’t know why I feel this way! Help me, Papa! Help!”

Shoto had slept on the floor of his old bedroom as he allowed Yagi to sleep on the bed. He needed help! This was a huge change for all of them, including Bakugo. And there was no way they would be able to have a peaceful home the way things were now.

Yagi was clearly confused and filled with too much guilt to know how to handle which caused him to lash out which caused him to feel more guilty! It was a vicious cycle and Shoto didn’t know where it started. He knew it wouldn’t be solved overnight,

but he also needed to figure out his place in all this. Shoto did truly believe Bakugo was dead. He was content living out the rest of his days as a partner to Midoriya and as a parent to Yagi without anything in it for him!

But now Bakugo was back, and to him, no time had passed at all! Which meant to him, Shoto was a threat. He understood his feelings. Afterall, he was almost as young as Yagi! But it was very clear, he was in no place to suddenly become the head of a household or a parent!

He didn’t even understand how the world worked anymore and he had a lot to adjust to before he could become fully grounded enough to be the support system Izuku and Yagi needed! Giving the reigns to him and leaving Shoto’s family to finally start his own life didn’t seem right.

The only one who had remotely prepared for any of this was Midoriya. He had it all figured out. And if Yagi didn’t lash out so cruelly, their home would have been fully prepared for Bakugo to settle right in. Now everything was broken into pieces just like Midoriya.

Shoto was startled by the sound of the omega’s labored footsteps. He quietly left his room and closed the door behind him so as to not wake Yagi.

“Midoriya. What are you doing here by yourself? You can barely walk.” Shoto whispered before rushed to his aid.

“I need to talk to him…” Izuku said as he struggled to breathe. “I need to tell him it’s okay! That I don’t blame him! That I would never replace him! Please… let me talk to him before he goes to school!”

“I don’t think that’s a good idea.” Shoto sighed.

“Not until you feel better. Where’s Bakugo? You should be with him right now. You can barely stand on your own.”

“I don’t care how terrible I feel! If Yagi’s in pain then-” Izuku persisted.

“Seeing you in pain won’t help with that! You’re sweating all over!” Shoto pointed out.

He then put his hand on his forehead. “You’re getting a fever. Wait…” He sniffed the air around him. “Midoriya, you’re starting your heat.”

“Right now?” Izuku’s voice cracked before he dizzily backed away. “I can’t right now! Damnit…”

“Izuku?!” Katsuki’s worried voice questioned from around the corner.

“Come on.” Shoto gently guided him toward the other alpha’s voice. “You need your mate right now.”

“Yagi needs his mom…” Izuku grumbled sadly before Katsuki’s arms enveloped him.

Shoto explained the situation to Katsuki who understood how ill timed and difficult this would be to navigate.

“Usually when Midoriya has his heats, Yagi and I spend the week here. But he recently changed his nest and it definitely won’t fit the both of you! Plus, the press..”

“Do you have to be so pragmatic about my sex life…” Katsuki groaned.

“Bakugo! This is a serious situation.” Shoto stressed. “I’ll get you two a nesting suite. I know a few private places that won’t leak anything! I’ll handle Yagi here. Some space might be good for all of us!”

“Tell Yagi I’m sorry…” Izuku panted as his fever intensified. “I can’t do anything right right now…”

“Stop.” Katsuki kissed his scent gland. “Blaming yourself isn’t helping either. You can’t make up with the kid until you stop torturing yourself.”

“Come on, the doctors warned us this would happen. And they said it was the best medicine, right?” He kissed him intensely. “The sooner you feel better, the sooner you can parent that kid properly!”

“Kacchan…”

“Come on, not here!”

Shoto helped them check in to somewhere nice and discreet before rushing back in time to stop Yagi from getting the wrong idea before he leaves for school.

“He left?” Yagi questioned angrily when Shoto arrived in time for Fuyumi to serve them breakfast.

“Yagi… your parents-”

“That guy is not my parent!”

“Those two… Bakugo had to claim your mom in order to bring him out of his drop! After all the stress, he went into an early heat so he could-”

“So that’s it?!” Yagi grimaced. “That guy is all over mom and you don’t care?”

“Yagi, I’ve never wanted to be with your mom that way!” Shoto stressed.

“Are you lying to me or yourself?!” Yagi snapped before standing up and storming out of the kitchen. “This whole thing is backwards and I’m the only one who sees it!”

Shoto sighed from the stress as Yagi slammed the door upon leaving. “They told me the teenage years were hard but I never believed it would be this way with him…” he vented to his sister.

“Risa said he changed before high school but I didn’t know she meant like this.”

Fuyumi said in concern. “It brings back bad memories…”

“I’m not sure where it all came from! One day, he was happy and suddenly he wasn’t! He’s slowly opening up to me but the more Bakugo is around, the worse he gets. It’s not like it’s his fault either!”

“It’s not going to solve itself in one day.” Fuyumi sighed. “I’ll make sure Risa at least stops the other kids at school from asking questions! I’m sure this is very overwhelming!”

“It is….”

Shoto grumbled before thinking of Yagi’s words and the conflicting feelings he did have checking Izuku and Katsuki into that hotel.

It wasn’t easy. His alpha instincts were all over the place when it came to Bakugo claiming the omega he had been caring for all this time.

Before he could stop himself, he messaged Sero and asked if he was free.

A week had passed and Izuku’s heat was finally over. Katsuki woke up to Izuku purring peacefully in his arms, clearly feeling a lot better. Color had returned to his face, and his breathing was even.

“Hey. You alright?” Katsuki kissed him awake.

“Ah… SORRY!” Izuku suddenly became bashful.

“What are you apologizing for?!” Katsuki questioned.

“You’re finally back and I’m sure you have so much to get used but I kept you holed up in here while I-” He blushed furiously.

“While you used me like a toy?” Katsuki teased as Izuku rolled away from him.

“I’m sorry! I’m sorry!”

“Someone was clearly repressed all these years, huh?” Katsuki climbed over him like a predator.

“Yes! It’s been a very long time! I’m-”

“Hey.” Katsuki kissed him fiercely.

“Stop saying sorry!” He pulled him by the leg before licking his lips. “I’d rather be holed up anywhere with you.”

“Kacchan…” Izuku blushed before kissing him feverishly. Their love making was interrupted by a sudden call on Izuku’s phone.

“Ah… that must be Todoroki…”

Izuku grabbed his phone before his eyes widened in surprise.

“Who is it?!” Katsuki questioned.

“It’s Kirishima-kun!”

“Let me see that!” Katsuki grabbed Izuku’s phone but he struggled to figure out how to work the damn thing! “What the hell did they do to phones?!”

“Oh it’s really simple actually! But it only listens to my voice! I can change it in the settings though!”

“Just answer it!” Katsuki demanded.

“Answer please!” Izuku said as the phone projected a hologram of Kirishima.

“Are we being recorded?!” Katsuki quickly covered them.

“Sorry! I didn’t realize it was a gram chat!” Izuku fretted

“A what?!”

“Hey guys! Bad time?” Eijiro pushed something that caused the hologram of himself to go away and a phone icon to pop up instead. “Sorry! Um, Todoroki said Midoriya should be coming out of his heat now…”

“Yeah, um… it’s over I think!” Izuku informed him in embarrassment.

“Well that’s good because I was hoping I could take you both to lunch?” Eijiro questioned.

“The entire restaurant will treat me like a zoo animal!” Katsuki reminded him. “Press still hasn’t gotten their photo”

“We can go to Sato’s bakery! He’ll close it down for us!”

“Since when did he get a bakery?” Katsuki whined at another sudden change.

“He retired after a bad stomach injury.” Izuku informed him. “He’s been running it ever since! It’s really good and popular!”

“But…” the omega noticed the date on his phone. “It’s Saturday. I should get home. I have a lot to talk with Yagi about… but you can join him if you want, Kacchan! It might be best if I talk to him when you’re not around…”

“I don’t trust him!” Katsuki stressed.

“If he hurts you again-”

“I was shocked last time! It hurt so bad because it caught me off guard!” Izuku insisted. “But now that I can see how much pain he’s in… I can’t focus on the pain I feel! Not until he understands how nothing’s changed! Not really!”

“I still love him just as much as the day I found out about him!”

“Guys, not to interrupt this intense conversation but… Yagi’s actually what I wanted to talk to you guys about!”

“Huh?” Katsuki and Izuku looked at each other.

“If you can be ready in an hour, I’ll pick you up and tell you what I know!” Eijiro insisted.

“Make it half an hour and hurry up!” Katsuki stressed. “You know how I hate beating around the bush!”

Yagi threw rock after rock in frustration, as he watched them skid across the pond. Uncle Kaminari had asked to take him hiking to take his mind off things, but truthfully he couldn’t stand to be around him that much either! All everyone wanted to talk about was that guy!

“You know, this is Bakugo’s favorite hiking spot!” Denki said chipperly. “He showed us when he was your age! He’s really good at this whole nature thing! You take after him too! None of us can can get the rocks to skid more than five paces!”

“One time, he even had Kirishima get really hard and was still able to skid him across the water like it was nothing! It was crazy!”

“Can you shut up about him?! I don’t care!” Yagi snapped.

“Yagi.” Denki sighed. “You’re turning into him more and more each day!”

“What did you say?!” Yagi snapped making the blonde laugh.

“See? It’s like I’m back in high school being with you like this! Before, I couldn’t help but get a kick out of how kind and sweet you were. Just like Midoriya with the aloofness of Todoroki.” He said fondly.

“It was weird seeing that on Bakugo’s face.”

“I’m not him!” Yagi barked.

“You’re right. No matter how cruel Bakugo could be, he would never push your mom that far.” Denki looked at him seriously.

“Shut up…”

“What did you say?”

“It doesn’t matter!”

“Of course it does!”

Denki insisted.

“IT’S YOUR FAULT ANYWAY! YOU’RE THE ONE WHO MADE ME STOP BELIEVING DYNAMIGHT WILL COME BACK! YOU’RE THE ONE WHO TOLD ME I HAVE TO SAVE MY MOM BY MAKING HIM REALIZE IT TOO! IT WAS YOU!” Yagi pointed at him.

“I didn’t say anything to you that Midoriya hasn’t heard from me himself, man.” Denki shrugged his shoulders. “That’s why I really don’t get it. What else could you have said to make him give up on living? I’m not trying to make you feel bad. I’m trying to make you realize…”

“…you can’t blame anyone but yourself for this. And you especially can’t go around telling your mom and pop and your new pop that it was Sero and I who pushed you to do that! Because we didn’t! If Midoriya overheard what we said? He probably would have been pissed, but-”

“he would have gotten over it! The first part of a good apology is taking responsibility! So I’ll lead by example! I’m sorry for being a drunk idiot and saying things I probably shouldn’t have!” He gave him a thumbs up.

Yagi suddenly felt all the anger that was welled up inside him dissipate as a dark cloud replaced it.

“Yagi, why are you crying?” He remembered his mom picking him up from kindergarten one day.

“No one wants to play with me cause I can’t help when I boom!” He sobbed.

“Oh… I never realized how hard it is to control! I’m sorry!” Izuku kissed his palms before Yagi accidentally sent a sparkle to his face.

“Mama!”

“It’s okay! It’s okay!” Izuku laughed. “It’s not your fault. It’s mine! Your papa always made it look so easy!”

“But now that I think about it, he probably took a lot of time at home to practice before he went out to play! Maybe we can ask your Grandma and Grandpa how he did it!” He smiled sweetly at him.

“But everyone still thinks I’m bad! They call me a villain!” He sniffled.

“But you’re not one.” Izuku held him close to his chest. “Sometimes when people don’t understand something, they have to put a label on it. Like me! Everyone used to call me useless because I didn’t have a quirk! It took me a long time to realize it wasn’t true…”

“I can’t control what people say but I’m so lucky that I have a lot people who love me to remind me what is true! And Yagi,” Izuku kissed his forehead. “Nothing you do will ever make me believe you’re a villain! You’re mama’s hero!”

Yagi felt one tear after the other pour down his face. He couldn’t stop it. It was all his fault! His mom who believed in him no matter what, who trusted him to love him and remind him just how useful he was gave up on living! Because of him!

Yagi was no hero. And it wasn’t DynaMight’s fault! It was his own! He held himself as he collapsed to the floor and sobbed.

“Hey! Yagi!”

“Go…. Away! Just leave me alone… everyone should just…. Stay away from me…”

“Yagi! Come on!” Kaminari tried to help him stand up. “It’s not… it’s fixable! Just apologize!”

“STOP IT!” Yagi screamed.

“NO! NOT UNTIL YOU CALM DOWN!” Denki reached for his bicep.

“LET GO OF ME! GO AWAY!”

“Come on! Let’s get somewhere warm at least! It’s starting to rain”

Denki tried to grab him by the collar.

“STOP! LET GO!”

“NO! COME ON!”

“FUCK OFF!” Yagi screamed in agony and before he knew it, a large explosion came out of his mouth, sending Uncle Kaminari flying. He stood in shock as he watched the nearby trees catch on fire.

Yagi gasped at the pain he felt in his own throat. What the hell was that? What did he just do? “U-Uncle Kaminari?” He said raspily before approaching the guy’s body. He was burnt badly. Unrecognizable. “Uncle Kaminari?!” Yagi panicked as he checked for a pulse.

Nothing…. Nothing…

Yagi looked around at the destruction around him.

“You were wrong, mom…. You were wrong…”

Sero put his clothes on as Shoto quickly showered in his bathroom.

“You don’t have to rush out just cause you slept in!” He called.

“Bakugo and Midoriya are probably still getting it on as we speak!”

“I needed to be there before Yagi woke up!” Shoto snapped as he turned off the shower. “I wanted to take him somewhere more peaceful while we wait for them to get back. He needs the support right now!”

“I’m sorry for shutting your alarm off, I thought you might need the extra sleep with everything going on, you know? You should take your time. Yagi will be okay.”

“Yagi’s far from okay!” Shoto sighed. “I’ve been trying to support him but it’s been difficult.”

“I need to go now!” He stormed out of the apartment.

“Wait! Roki!” Hanta grabbed his arm.

“What?!”

“You um.. forgot to put pants on.”

Shoto looked down at his boxers and sulked. “Parenting is the biggest challenge I’ve ever faced…”

“Don’t worry.” Hanta smiled at him.

“We’re all here to help!”

Katsuki enjoyed the drive to the restaurant with his mate. Izuku’s hand was comforting. His smile was comforting. Now that his health was restoring, it was relieving to Katsuki that he hadn’t really changed at all.

He was still the same kid Katsuki grew up with. Of course he was a parent now, but he didn’t have that ‘I’m older and wiser than you’ aura everyone else seemed to have. He was Izuku through and through. Infuriating, stubborn, dorky and more caring than anyone on this planet.

Right now, he was irritating Katsuki by babbling about every little thing he could think of that changed that they passed in the car. But he was also charming him, by doing the same habits he’s had since he was 4. Worrying his lip, mumbling too quickly, playing with his hands.

“And that All Might comic shop is still open thanks to me!” Izuku explained. “I pay the rent myself no matter how terrible business is! It’s a piece of history!”

“Ya sure make great use of your legacy days, huh old man?” Katsuki teased.

“I’m not an old man!” Izuku blushed.

“Ya might as well be perving on someone my age.” Katsuki stuck his tongue down his throat.

“Don’t make this weird!” Izuku groaned.

Kirishima was glad they were in good spirits. When Kaminari informed them at Endeavor’s house that Midoriya dropped, he was really concerned.

And when Yagi walked in, it was like all the air was sucked out of the room. That wasn’t the same kid who excitedly greeted him at the door at his presentation party.

“Mama invited you too, Uncle Kirishima?!” He had laughed. “This is all kind of embarrassing!”

“It’s not embarrassing at all! Welcome to alpha club!” Eijiro ruffled his hair causing him to grin widely.

“Do you have a jacket for me?” He joked.

“You bet I do!”

“Now I can be more like Papa.” Yagi smiled shyly. “Do you think when he comes back, he’ll be happy about it?”

He was just as hopeful as Izuku when it came to Bakugo’s return. But he didn’t seem happy at all when they saw each other that day!

It must have been what Kaminari and Sero said! It had to be!

The three sat in Sato’s restaurant in a nice secluded booth.

“So, tell me about that kid’s quirk! You said you were in another dimension?” Eijiro questioned.

“I’ll tell you later! You had something to say about the kid!” Katsuki asserted.

“Right um… Midoriya.” Eijiro looked at him sheepishly. “What I’m about to say might be upsetting.”

“I can handle it!” Izuku insisted. “I’ve never been one to need coddling, Kirishima-kun, but… I appreciate your concern.”

“I guess…” Eijiro shifted awkwardly. “There’s some things that have been going on for a long time you haven’t known about and I feel terrible for-”

“Just spit it out!” Katsuki snapped impatiently.

“Alright! Um… here goes nothing! This is important for context okay? I really don’t like to be a gossip but Mina hears everything and-” Eijiro’s face turned red.

“Shitty Hair!”

“It’s started with Todoroki! Because living with you and raising a kid with you, Midoriya is hard for him and his alpha! He wanted to be sure he didn’t come on to you or do anything that made you uncomfortable so he… you know… slept around a bit.”

“Huh?!”

Katsuki and Izuku looked at each other and shock. Neither were expecting this.

“And… the people he primarily slept with were Sero and Kaminari.”

“HUH?!” Izuku and Katsuki’s eyes bugged out of their heads.

“Yeah, I know, anyway, they both told him it wasn’t a big deal!”

“But they both totally got feelings for him! Todoroki didn’t know the half of it! It got ugly between the two of them! They both constantly one-up each other! They said horrible things and tried to turn all of us against the other! And then, they both found out the real problem”

“Izuku…” Katsuki put two and two together.

“H-huh? How am I a problem?!” Izuku questioned worriedly. “I didn’t even know Todoroki-kun was doing this!”

“You didn’t do anything wrong! But, you and Yagi were Todoroki’s number one priority!” Eijiro assured him.

“Don’t sugarcoat it. Half and Half was into you way more than them.” Katsuki supplied.

“Kacchan, I told you, it wasn’t like that!” Izuku defended Shoto.

“Midoriya. It /is/ like that.” Eijiro sighed.

“You both have it wrong!” Izuku insisted.

“I’ve been living with him all these years, I know-”

“Any idiot raising a kid with you all these years would be attracted to you!” Katsuki barked. “I don’t like it but I don’t blame the guy!”

“Anyway,” Eijiro cleared his throat. “Remember when Kaminari lashed out at you?”

“That phone call? Is that what it was really about?” Izuku put the pieces together.

“What the hell did he say?” Katsuki questioned.

“Just that I was keeping Todoroki from living his life. It’s true… but… now I know that wasn’t coming from a place of concern…” Izuku grumbled.

“Yeah, well, after that Todoroki cut both of them off! You also probably didn’t realize but he tried to keep the two from interacting with you as much as possible!” Eijiro shook his head. “But of course you were non the wiser, so you invited them to Yagi’s presentation party!”

“His what?” Katsuki cringed.

“I wanted him to feel confident!” Izuku defended himself.

“Yeah, well…. The two of them couldn’t get to you or Todoroki anymore so they went for Yagi!” Eijiro revealed.

“What?!”

“The hell they do?!” Katsuki growled.

“Bakugo… we all believed you were dead except Midoriya and Yagi. Midoriya kept you alive in your home and that’s something no one felt comfortable stepping on. If Yagi wanted to believe him, we all agreed not to say otherwise! Until that party…” Eijiro said sadly.

“What did they say?!” Izuku felt his stomach twist.

“They crushed him and tried to force him to see ‘reality’” Kirishima said guiltily. “They told him you were crazy and it was time he saw that. That it was your omega’s fault. It was the only way you could survive!”

“And they hammered it in that Bakugo was never coming back and Todoroki was his real Dad and he was being cruel by not seeing him that way! It was a rough thing to say to a kid! I tried to stop them but Yagi kind of snapped after and stormed off…”

“So he got his hopes crushed and blamed Izuku for giving him hope.” Katsuki clicked his tongue. “Guess he inherited by stupidity too.”

Izuku was quiet as he took in everything Kirishima told him. “What should I have done?” He asked guiltily.

“The thought of Yagi getting his hopes crushed like that…” He teared up. “Kacchan, when he was little… he used to practice ways he would meet you, ya know? He used to run around in your costume pieces… I used to have to hide the grenades….”

“‘When I meet Papa’ was something he said often…” Izuku hiccupped. “But… I don’t know if that was right thing. Should I have let him believe you were dead? That seems crueler. You showing up and him thinking ghosts exist! I don’t know… and everything with Todoroki…”

“Should I have just raised Yagi by myself? Would have been happier that way? I-”

“Hey.” Katsuki roughly wiped his tears with his thumb. “There’s no point in thinking of the what ifs right now! If I was more careful about that golden haired kid, none of us would be in this hell!”

“But I can’t do anything about that! And you can’t do anything about Half and Half sticking his knot in crazy! What we can do is help that kid!”

“Kacchan…”

“He needs all of us. Todoroki too! So come on! Let’s show him what his real family is like! Whether he likes it or not!”

Izuku smiled and grabbed his hand. He had never been more glad that he was back.

“A small fire broke out on a trail in Musutafu today! Luckily the damage didn’t spread too far due to an anonymous tip from a hiker who-”

“Let’s turn that off!” Aizawa Eri yawned to her cat.

“Look at me, I’m always telling the kids to rest up and stay healthy but now I’m down with the flu! I’m pathetic!” She rested her head on her cat, Lemillie’s belly.

“Meow!” Lemillie suddenly leapt away causing UA’s school nurse to fall to the floor.

“Mmmm….” She grumbled at her headache when suddenly there was a frantic knock at her door. “Who is it?” She questioned.

“Aunt Eri…. It’s me….”

“Huh? Yagi-kun?” She got up and opened the door, and gasped at the sight she saw.

Yagi was white as a sheet and trembling all over as he had an unrecognizable charred body in his arms. “I need your help….” he cried helplessly. “And please don’t tell mom!”

“You really didn’t leave this place all time?” Katsuki questioned as they approached the apartment.

“I didn’t know where you were.” Izuku smiled at him. “I just thought, maybe, when you did come back, you would look for me! Because that’s what I would do! If it was me…”

“I gotta relate to your brat then.” Katsuki smirked. “This place is a dump!”

“It is not!” Izuku fumed. “It’s cozy!”

“I told you when you got it that you could afford better!”

“Well, when I was a hero, I was hardly home!” Izuku asserted. “I didn’t need a fancy place!”

“But if you did what I said and got one, Half and Half wouldn’t have had to camp out in a closet!” Katsuki teased. “I would have ran to that fancy penthouse I told you to get!”

“Fine, Kacchan. You were right, happy?” Izuku grumbled.

“No.” Katsuki kissed him.

“My plan was to slowly move all my crap in until you had no choice but to get a bigger place! Then you would definitely ask me to stay.” He looked into his eyes intensely. “I hate that I missed everything. I don’t know anything about being a parent! And I feel useless here.”

“If it was me? I’d never call some guy five years older than me my Dad! That’s just embarrassing.” Katsuki grumbled. “But he’s still my kid! That’s the reality! So… I gotta give this everything I got! Even if I fuck up! Just… promise you won’t get mad when I do…”

“Kacchan…” Izuku chuckled nervously. “It’s my fault it’s so hard! If only I had prepared Yagi better! Not given him so much hope. Told him that what I felt may be strong! And was certainly reality, but those who were with you at Shiketsu might feel very different!”

“If only I was stronger and didn’t break when my own son lashed out at me… I could have talked to him! I could have told him it was okay!”

“Izuku.” Katsuki sighed. “It wasn’t okay! Whatever those bastards said to him didn’t give him an excuse to say that shit to you!”

“If you were his parent, that kid probably had the most loving home! He’s lashing out like I used to because he doesn’t know how to handle his feelings! But none of it is okay! He’s not going to get anywhere until he gets over himself! Luckily,” he squeezed Izuku’s hand.

“We both have people that love us that are willing to wait till we get our shit together.”

Izuku smiled at his mate before gently kissing him on the cheek. “You’re already showing me you’re a great sire, Kacchan.”

He unlocked the apartment and was surprised to find it empty.

Not only was no one home, but mostly everything was packed up in boxes.

“Yagi? Yagi, are you home?!” Izuku ran to his room to see it empty except for a note on the bed.

“Bakugo?” Shoto entered the apartment shortly after they arrived and was surprised to see him.
