Discounting the f*minism, democracy, and extra taxes, the Progressive Era (killed by New Deal commies) was probably the best attempt to combat problems of modernity; focus on science, social hygiene, food purity, meritocracy, anti-corruption, anti-immigration, anti-dysgenics etc.

People during the Progressive Era much smarter than us. Their average IQ was almost one standard deviation higher than Whites today. The average person then was as intelligent as the average college graduate is now.

Libtards today, who are essentially just Communists, wear the Progressive label like a skinsuit. There's almost no continuity between their ideology and the socially conservative people of the Progressive Era, who believed in segregation, scientific "racism," and so on.

Other good stuff: Class collaboration over conflict, promotion of religiosity, City Beautiful movement, Romanticist art, general positive and forward-thinking attitude. Surprised more people don't talk about this era.
