What if wwx drunkenly gets a tattoo of his crush lwj? And not a tattoo to symbolize lwj. No. His actual portrait.

And worst of all, he decided to get it right on his peck near his heart. Could he be any more obvious?!

He tries his hardest to keep it a secret from his best

friend and roommate. He remembers to throw on a shirt every morning instead of walking around in just his shorts. He makes sure to always change in his room. He makes excuses as to why he's not changing out of his gym clothes after working out.

Somehow, he manages to keep it a

secret for months.

But then he goes on vacation with a group of friends, and, after some alcohol that loosens him up and makes his head fuzzy, he pulls lwj towards the lake and sheds himself of his shirt so they can take a late night swim.

A gasp sobers wwx immediately.

Shit.

He fucked up. He fucked up real bad. And now lwj would never want to talk to him again and he would have a constant reminder of the man he loved and lost on his chest until the day he died.

"Lan Zhan, wait, I can explain" wwx pleads.

"OK"

"... Huh?"

Wwx is taken

aback. He was expecting outright rejection.

He stumbles through his story of his drunken decision, missing pieces here and there as he couldn't remember everything that happened.

Lwj previously stern face

softened, and he smiled wide, the wisest wwx had ever seen.

"Wei Ying, you are such an idiot" lwj says. But his voice doesn't sound harsh. Instead it sounds found.

"...do you happen to like idiots?" wwx replies.

"almost exclusively" lwj steps towards him and takes his face

between his hands. "you know you just could've asked me out instead of going through all this, right?"

"Sober Wei Ying knows that, but drunk Wei Ying likes to make things difficult"

"Well, Wei Ying is mostly sober now. Is there anything he'd like to say?"

Wwx looks into lwj

amber eyes. In them shines hope and adoration and perhaps a bit of fear. It wasn't the first time he had seen this look from lwj. In fact, he had seen it several times. How had wwx not made the connection before getting a tattoo?

"Lan Zhan, I love you. Will you go out with me?"

"Yes, Wei Ying. I love you too"

They kiss each other for what feels like hours before stripping naked and having some fun in the lake (wink wink).

Later, wwx deems that its only fair if lwj get a tattoo of his portrait. Lwj does so without protest, much to wwx shock and awe.

But his reaction was nothing compared to lqr when he found out.
