she gently pushes wy back so she can meet her eyes. she can see the love wy has for lz in her eyes

she gulps as wei ying's face gets closer and closer to her own, eyes closing as she brushes her lips against lan zhan's

lz groans into the kiss, hand holding wy's head in place. she only pulls back when she feels like she's going to pass out from lack of oxygen

wy's smile is blinding "so does this mean we're girlfriends?"

lz's lips turn up in a small smile, growing at wy's dramatic wailing "my heart lz, you smiled!"

the next few weeks were blissful. she spent all her free time with wy, just talking, kissing, touching

but something in the back of lan zhan's mind was telling her it was all a lie. that the wy who loves her isn't the real wy

it's the wy that lz created when she forced her love potion on her

she tries to block these thoughts out but it is getting harder and harder

everytime wy tells lz she loves her, it's like a knife to the chest

she starts withdrawing, making excuses not to spend time with wy

wy isn't an stupid, she notices right away. her smiles get tighter, her laughter more brittle

it comes to a head one day when wy drops by unexpectedly

"you lied" she accuses lan zhan despondently

lz can't argue. wy is right. lz isn't spending the day with her brother as she had told her

"mn" she says apologetic

she's startled into action at wy's tears

she rushes over to her, wrapping her arms around her and hugging her close "don't cry" she begs her, unable to bear wy's tears

wy sniffles before pushing lz away "if you don't want me anymore, just tell me"

lz takes wy's hand and leads her to the couch "wei ying, i-i..."

for the first time in lz's life, she can't speak eloquently. she pauses, takes a deep breath and tries again

"wy, i /do/ love you. but you don't love me"

wy furrows her eyebrows "i do!"

lz shakes her head "not truly. not of your own will. i...used a love potion on you"

there's a long tense pause

"i apologise, wy, sincerely. i will find a way to remove it"

lz's eyes snap to wy's when she hears laughter. there's no anger, shouting, accusing fingers as she expected

"y-you thought!" she's cuts herself off, doubling over in laughter

lz is confused now "wei ying?"

"lz, you're an idiot" wy chuckles, wiping her tears away

lz feels slightly offended "excuse me?"

wy straightens up, face turning serious so unlike her "lz, you've heard that witches are immune to potions?"

lz nods, it was one of the first things she learnt. but why is wy bringing this up? and how does /wy/ know this anyway?

lz just about stops herself from rolling her eyes "would break all the rules for wy" then she adds "but it did not feel right, thinking you were forced to love me"

wy snuggles in closer to lz "definitely not forced. so can you stop avoiding me now?"
