He stopped, watching as Namjoon pressed a small square tile on the wall, which immediately lit up at his touch. Taehyung watched wide eyed as the metal door swung open again.
“Come.” Namjoon said, stepping into the cage like room, small and suffocating.

Taehyung dug his heels into the carpeted hallway.
“No.” He shook his head frantically. He was absolutely not stepping into that. Namjoon looked amused at his terror. Taehyung glared.
“Taehyung ah its perfectly safe. Come in.” Namjoon tried again, holding his hand out.

Taehyung shook his head, before turning on his heel and rushing away. He was almost half way down the corridor, when Namjoon caught up to him, grabbing his arm and stopping him quickly.
“Taehyung , wait.” He said rushed and the omega glared at him.

“I won’t step into that thing.” He growled, glaring dagger at the alpha. Namjoon looked stunned.
“Taehyung we’re in the second floor. Jungkook is in the fifteenth floor. You have to get in there if you want to see him.”

Taehyung crossed his arms over his chest.
“Where is the ladder?” He demanded. “ Give me a ladder and some rope and I’ll climb my way up.”

Namjoon exhaled, smiling awkwardly.

"Taehyung. We don't... do that here. This building is built differently. Th elevator will help us go up. There's no other way to go up..."

"Really?" Taehyung frowned, pushing away from him and peering around the edge of one hallway.

"What about those ..." he pointed at the stairway. "Those are going up. Can't we climb those?"

Namjoon's face went very pale.

"Taehyung, let me repeat. We're on the second floor, Jungkook is on the fifteenth ..we can't possibly..."

Taehyung ignored him, heading for the stairs.

"The omega refuses to leave his room. Its still not too late to send him back to your mother." Hana said thoughtfully, flipping through a fashion magazine and giving him a pointed look. "He doesn't suit you in any way Jungkook."

Jungkook frowned.

"What?"

Hana was one of his dearest friends . They had grown up together and he cared about her deeply. But it was unlike her to say something so absurd. Especially when Jungkook had been quite vocal about his feelings for Taehyung.

"I'm just saying. He is unhappy here. " she said.

Jungkook shrugged going back to his laptop. He was a business major something his mother had insisted on. As the next pack alpha he would have to be an exemplary administrator to be able to run the pack efficiently.

"We've taken him away from everything he knows. Its natural."

"Still," Hana insisted, "Is it necessary that you must be the one to bear that burden. Why not give him to someone else like namjoon or Hoseok? You deserve someone smart and wonderful like you, Jungkook."

Jungkook paused, leaning back and giving her a curious glance.

"Surely , you don't mean yourself?" he smiled, just a little amused.

Hana turned a dark shade of red.

"You're laughing at me." She accused, eyes blazing.

"What else will I do when you joke like that? Taehyung is my husband, Hana. My mate . I'm not looking to replace him."

As though on cue, the door to the library opened and a slightly out of breath Taehyung peered in, followed by a completely wiped out Namjoon who was almost crawling, face and body drenched with sweat.

"Hyung?" Jungkook stood up alarmed while Taehyung scoffed.

"Weak alpha."

Jungkook stared back and forth between the two of them, confused.

"What on earth happened?" He asked worriedly, but Namjoon was gasping for air, unable to talk.

Taehyung on the other hand gave him an unimpressed stare.

"Why do you trust moving boxes over your own feet?"

"Moving..what?"

"Jungkook ah..." Namjoon grabbed his arm, staggering like he was drunk." Please for the love of God, don't make me watch this menace. He is unreasonable, heartless and batshit crazy."

Jungkook stared as Namjoon groaned , gripping his knees.

"It hurts!!!"

"You told me you'll take me to see Jimin today. I had my mid day meal. Must we not leave and return before nightfall? Won't there be animals after dark?" Taehyung asked firmly, ignoring Namjoon who seemed to be on the verge of death.

Jungkook turned to the omega, blinking.

"Animals?" He laughed. " There are no animals in the city Taehyung. At least. not out and about. And the roads are lit at all hours of the night. Its not unsafe."

Taehyung frowned deeply.

"Does that mean we aren't going to see Jimin now?" he glanced at the window.

"Jungkook is busy, Omega Kim." Hana's voice came from behind them." He has a number of duties, responsibilities as the pack alpha. He can't drop them on a whim just because you're bored. "

Taehyung seemed to recoil at that face going blank at the obvious harshness in her tone .

He glanced at Jungkook, looking stricken before turning on his heel, ready to run.

Jungkook felt his heart leap straight to his throat, rushing and wrapping both arms around the omega, tugging him back into his chest.

He gave Hana a stern stare before gently brushing

he hair off Taehyung's face.

"Hana is joking , Tae. Those rules apply to her. Not you ." he said firmly, "You can come disturb me anytime you want. In fact, I welcome it ."

Taehyung struggled out of his arms, looking unconvinced.

"Who is this? Is she your lover?"

Hana didn't respond and Jungkook grinned.

"No Taehyung. That would be you." He said gently. "Hana, I'm going to go now. I did promise Taehyung we'll visit Yoongi hyung tonight." He said quickly.

She scoffed, before gathering her things and stalking out of the Library.

Taehyung watched her leave before turning to him.

"Has she been warming your bed these nights? She was upset because of me was she not? Do you have many omega lovers?"

Namjoon who was draped over a table catching his breath, sat up at that.
"I'm out of here."

Taehyung watched him leave and bit his lips.

"Am i offending you and your pack mates? I'm only asking. I know you can take as many lovers as you want. I just want to know..." he said quietly, staring at his feet.

"Wait.. what?"

"You are the pack alpha. You can take any omega"

Jungkook went still at that.

"Taehyung, that is nonsense. I'm not... I haven't taken an omega to my bed in months. And I certainly don't intend to take anyone other than you. now that we're mated."

Taehyung stared at him, looking baffled.

"You haven't been mating every night?"

"No." Jungkook said firmly. " I haven't been having sex."

Taehyung scoffed, before letting his gaze drop to the alpha's crotch.

"Doesnt your cock ache? Its unnatural for alphas to stay celibate is it not? What if it shrivels up?"

Jungkook coughed, choking a little.

"Its not.." he cleared his throat." Its not shriveled up Taehyung." He said firmly

Of all the things Taehyung expected when the door opened, it certainly wasn't this.

Jimin looked like he was lit from the inside out, glowing and joyful, smiling from ear to ear, happily flaunting his mating mark and a large diamond ring on his finger.

Taehyung stared at him, completely thrown. He had wanted to complain and talk about how miserable they were, from losing their pack but Jimin looked healthy and thriving.

Yoongi doted on him, always staying close and scenting him often.

Taehyung felt out of place and alone.

As Jungkook and Yoongi began talking about the pack and something about trading with a neighbouring pack, Taehyung finally shuffled over to his best friends side. Jimin hugged him close and Taehyung clung to him, fingers gripping his hoodie.

"Really?" Jimin chuckled." I thought you must be busy with your alpha. Jungkook is very handsome, Taehyung ah... Surely you must be busy getting to know him." Jimin smiled, wagging her brows.

"Jimin , they destroyed our pack. Have you forgiven them?"

Jimin stiffened at that .

"Taehyung... surely, you can see that the Jeon pack is better than ours. And they killed our pack alpha because of what he did. He raided another pack when the alphas were gone, killed and raped betas and omegas. He deserved his fate."

Tae sighed.

"Yes.. but... how do you know these people aren't like that as well?" he whispered, glancing at Jungkook. The alpha was leaning against the couch, laughing and relaxed.

Jimin gave him a worried look.

"Is Jungkook being unkind to you?" he asked nervously.

Taehyung startled.

"What? No.. No .. he's not. Hes.. very.." He paused, trying not to give too much away." Different from the alphas we knew."

"So is Yoongi. He's so gentle and kind and understanding. And he lets me do whatever I want to. He doesn't control me or use his alpha voice on me.

And he's..." Jimin bit his lips , turning a soft pastel pink,"hes..really looking forward to being a father."

Taehyung blinked rapidly, the words registering belatedly.

"Wait... what???!!" he gasped.

"Barely a month now." Jimin said quietly. "We didn't think it would happen so fast but the moon goddess has been so kind and-"

"Taehyung , I know the alphas in our old pack weren't kind. But Yoongi and Jungkook are different. Do you not find yourself attracted to your alpha?"

Taehyung stared at the flat of Jimin's belly trying to accept there was a pup growing in there. He stretched shaky hands, pressing a palm to his lower belly.

"Wow. Remember all the pups we raised? You're having one of your own now.."

He couldn't keep the envy out of his voice.

Taehyung loved pups and had always wanted to have many for himself. But glancing at Jungkook, he couldn't help but feel scared. Jungkook was different and for Taehyung, different was scary.

"You should let him in, Taehyung ah. He seems like a wonderful man." Jimin aaid gently.

It was very late by the time they returned to the pack house. The car ride was silent because Taehyung fell asleep , the gentle rocking of the vehicle lulling him into a nap. Jungkook drove as slow as he could,not wanting to wake the omega.

Taehyung stirred awake just as Jungkook carried him out of the elevator to his room, blinking languidly up at the alpha.

"We're almost at your room." He said gently, smiling a little. "You can just get put of these jeans and fall asleep again."

Taehyung stared at him,

teeth worrying his lips as he clung to his neck just a bit tighter.

"Will you stay with me tonight?"

Jungkook's steps faltered and Taehyung felt panic bubble up a little.

"Just to talk..." he said quickly. " I just want to talk a bit."

Jungkook's gaze softened.

"Okay, baby."

Jungkook was very careful, placing him on the bed and asking him to get ready for the night, before leaving to his own room a few doors down. Taehyung quickly used his toothbrush and changed into shorts and a thin night shirt, hiding under the covers before Jungkook returned.

The alpha gave him a curious smile before chuckling and locking the door closed.Taehyung tried to breathe and not stare.

Jungkook was shirtless, wearing just a pair of silk shorts.

He couldn't help but notice how beautiful the alpha's ivory skin was, his muscled torso as well.

Taehyung watched as Jungkook carefully climbed under the covers, keeping a couple feet between them. He kept his feet locked, knees bent, lying on his side, watching as the alpha settled into the bed, humming a slow melody.

"You sing well." he said quietly and Jungkook smiled.

"Thank you, Tae. I took lessons when I was younger, because my sister was the one who was supposed to be the head alpha. But when she died.." Jungkook hesitated, " I had to give up a lot of things for the sake of my pack."

Taehyung stared at him, confused by the ache inside him.

Somehow the thought of Jungkook in pain made his heart hurt.

"Did she die because of my pack?" he asked quietly. "Is that why your mother was so ruthless?"

Jungkook sighed.

"You pack alpha had a role to play in her death yes. The Jeon pack lived in the city but we own

a lot of fertile area in the wolflands , fields with orchards and aquifers. Your father thought that if my sister wasn't there my mother would lose heart and give the land up. But she didn't. She took revenge instead."

Taehyung stayed quiet.

"Why am I here, Jungkook?"

Jungkook hesitated before shrugging.

"Because I want you here." He said simply.

"But why? Im not special in any way. I wasn't even one of the omegas made for raising pups. I was a serving omega, meant to slave for others. Why would you choose me?"

Jungkook shook his head before holding his arms out. Taehyung hesitated, before slowly moving into the alpha's arms. Jungkook gathered him close in a warm hug.

"Taehyung, the things you were forced to do, they do not define who you are. Your pack conditioned you to believe

these things. But they're not true in any way. I don't see you as anything less than my equal. You're a beautiful , hardworking, attractive man and I consider myself lucky to be able to cll you mine. "

Taehyung sniffled, face buried into Jungkook's bare chest.

"When my mother first told me about you, I wanted to protest. I wasn't ready to mate and I was still too young I thought. But when I saw you ,I agreed at once, you know why?"
Tae shook his head , confused.

"Because you looked so angry and upset and I wanted to see you smile."

Taehyung felt something swell inside his chest at that and he gripped the alphas bicep, squeezing. He's heard all he's wanted to hear, the fears in his mind have all crashed and burned, Jungkook was already carving his name into the walls of his fragile heart.

He was falling.

Jungkook hugged him close as though sensing his inner turmoil and Taehyung swallowed, finally looking up at him.

Jungkook had a look of adoration on his face and Taehyung felt his heart beat against his rib cage.

He breathed out shakily.

"I want three pups." he blurted out.

Jungkook's brows shot up at that, a laugh escaping him . Taehyung frowned as the alpha chuckled. Was he mocking him?

"Why do you laugh?"

"Because I don't think I could ever predict the words that will spill put of your gorgeous mouth, beautiful." Jungkook shook his head.

Taehyung huffed already pulling away from the embrace but Jungkook locked his arms tight, keeping him in place.

"Don't be mad, pup." Jungkook whispered gently, lips brushing against his cheeks. " Its just...i didn't expect you to say that. We're still young. Theres no rush."

Taehyung frowned, the words rubbing him wrong. What is Jungkook saying? He had his first heat eight years ago. He was twenty five winters old. How much older did Jungkook want him to be?

"Jiminie is already pupped. He's the same age as me." He said stubbornly, glaring.

Jungkook blinked looking entirely confused.

"Wait ,when did we go from you hating me to wanting my pups??" He asked, genuinely befuddled.

Taehyung growled, struggling to get out of his arms but the aloha wouldn't budge

"Should i hate you again? " Tae snapped."Because I can."

Jungkook laughed, tugging him closer.

"I'm still in college, Tae. I need to at least graduate before thinking of pups.."
Taehyung frowned confused.

"You don't have to do any work... They'll be growing here." he pulled Jungkook's hand pressing the palm again his lower belly.

Jungkook looked like he was about to burst . Into laughter or tears, one couldn't say.

"Taehyung," he said gently, rubbing the omega's soft belly with infinite care," I'm well aware where pups grow." He grinned and kissed his lips, a soft peck. "But I want to take care of you."

" Take care of me? for what? I can..."

"No." Jungkook said firmly. " Listen to your alpha."

Taehyung pouted .

"But I..."

"I said no, Taehyung." Jungkook shook his head, " I need to be able to stay home and look after you. Its only another five months. You can wait."

Five months.

Taehyung couldn't believe it. That was too long. But he stayed quiet, knowing that Jungkook wouldn't listen.

"We still have to get to know each other, Tae. We'll take it slow.." Jungkook was saying .

Any slower they would be going backwards, Taehyung thought.

"So what now?" he asked shakily, glancing at Jungkook again.

The alpha merely grinned.

"Now we sleep. Its the last few minutes of your birthday. You can make a wish."

"Pups." Taehyung said simply.

Jungkook groaned.

"I think I'm going to have my work cut out for me omega."

When Taehyung woke up the next morning, it was to an empty bed and a vase full of fresh flowers, a large bar of chocolate and a note that said , Jungkook would be busy with school work in his college and wouldn't be home till after dinner.

Taehyung , missing the

alpha already, held up till two in the afternoon.But the moment lunch was done, he went looking for Namjoon who was tasked with keeping an eye on him. He found the alpha hunched a desk in the third floor, shuffling papers and staring into a computer.

"Alpha with the weak knees"

He said sharply , knocking on the door after entering.

"One, why are you knocking when you're already inside the damn room and two, just call me Namjoon." He said tiredly, closing his pen and pointing at the chair in front of his desk.

"How can I help you, little demon?"

Taehyung say down and crossed his arms.

"I need to go to Jungkook." He said firmly. "Right now."

Namjoon frowned, confused.

"Right now? Why?"

"That is none of your concern."

"Taehyung, he's at school. In class
.He can't just come at once. What is it?"

That made Taehyung blink.

"Really?" He tilted his head, "You can do it instead?"

How very odd, Taehyung thought in confusion. Not only did Jungkook not sleep with other omegas, he was also fine with other alpha's sleeping with his own omega?

"If you don't believe me, we can call him. On the phone. He'll tell you himself." He said firmly.

Namjoon grabbed something that looked like flat brick, prodding at it with his fingers.

"He told me to make sure you get whatever you need so you need only tell me what you want. Do you want clothes? Jewelry?"

Namjoon was smiling and a ringing sound came from the brick.

Taehyung stared at the brick fascinated.

"I can drive you shopping or if you want to go around the house..You can trust me to satisfy your every want.." Namjoon grinned.

Taehyung nodded absently still staring at the brick and then.

"Hello? Hyung? Everything okay ? How's Tae?"

"He's fine. He just seems a bit shy... " Namjoon laughed. "He's here, why don't you tell him he can trust me..."

"Tae?"

"Jungkook?" Taehyung moved to peer into the brick, confused. "The alpha with the weak knees says he can give me what he wants. Is that okay?"

"The.. what?"

"Yeah. Jungkook... he told me he wants something , I told him I'll give it to him ..." Namjoon said reassuringly.

"I do not mind but what if the pups have weak knees as well?" Taehyung voiced his main concern. "Namjoon says he will satisfy me well but he seems weak."

"Right , I'll satis-" Namjoon went completely still, eyes bulging out of his sockets, " Wait, what?!!!"

"Namjoon hyung are you out of your fucking mind?!" Jungkook's growl was so loud Taehyung flinched.
.He frowned at Namjoon.

"He told me you were fine with it Jungkook."

"Oh my fucking God, you crazy little demon!" Namjoon hissed scrambling away to put distance between them. "Jungkook, I swear thats not what I said... He's.. Oh God, I'm gonna puke.."

Taehyung stared, unimpressed by the green tint to the alpha's face.

"Weak and cowardly."

"Kim Taehyung!" Jungkook's voice was loud and almost a roar, " If anyone so much as looks at you, I will gouge out their fucking eyeballs. Do you understand?!"

Taehyung blinked, surprised by the vehemence in his tone.

"Your pack is so confusing." He muttered under his breath.

Namjoon grabbed the brick, shooting him a glare.

"Jungkook, for the love of God, ask Hoseok to take care of this ..this... creature. I beg of you. My heart can't take it." He croaked out.

Jungkook sighed.

"Sorry hyung. He must be missing me. Just... bring him over. "

Jungkook sat at the small desk in his bedroom, fingers tapping the surface while he stared at the omega in his bed. He had taken the day off, after Namjoon's call and had spent the evening taking Taehyung around the city for a bit. They had had a filling meal, and

now the omega was fast asleep in his bed, completely wiped out.

Jungkook however could not sleep.

"....And we have thirteen omegas with well enough grades for college but no one to pay tuition, so we'll help them get scholarships and cover remaining costs ourselves.." Yoongi

was saying over video call. Jungkook sighed before turning to the alpha.

"Hyung, do you think Jimin would be okay with sleeping with other alphas?' He asked bluntly.

Yoongi looked taken aback.

"What the fuck. Jungkook?"

"Im sorry.. I didn't mean.. I just..." He explained

what had happened that day and Yoongi listened carefully.

"Thats quite the misunderstanding. Is Namjoon hyung okay?" he laughed.

"Seokjin hyung found out and kicked him out of the packouse for the night. You know he's pretty emotional these days. He's due next month."

Yoongi chuckled.

"I bet Jin hyung was just looking for an excuse to kick Joon out. He snores like a freight train coming off the rails."

Jungkook had to agree.

"So.. you're upset because Taehyung didn't reject him?"

"He was actually ready to have sex with him Hyung!"

Yoongi hummed a little thoughtfully.

"Have you guys had sex yet?" He asked casually. Jungkook frowned.

"Of course not. I don't want to rush him."

"Taehyung isn't a virgin , Jungkook. You know what his pack was like."

Jungkook clenched his fists hating the very thought of it .

"Yes, hyung but I want it to be meaningful between us, hyung ..."

"Jungkook, listen to me well and carefully. Taehyung doesn't look at sex the way you do. Its not something precious or important or special to him because of the kind of sex he has had all these years +

and the only way you can change his view on sex is by showing him how different it can be. Taehyung has to understand that sex with you is different. That it has meaning. You can't do that by rejecting him when he wants to sleep with you."

Jungkook groaned.

"He wants pups."

Yoongi hummed, thoughtfully.

"I see. Also to be expected,.I suppose. Jimin mentioned that Taehyung was always fond of pups".

"Hyung, I'm still in college. I have six more months left and I'll be taking over the pack the end of this year. It going to be a busy time. I can't..."

Yoongi held his hands up.

"I can't make that decision for hou Jungkook.Thats something you and Taehyung will have to decide for yourself. If you don't want pups, just use protection." Yoongi shrugged.

Jungkook pouted.

"If we have sex and he doesn't get pregnant, he'll be sad."

"Yes, clearly. I bet he's already sad that you don't want pups with him." Yoongi shrugged.

Jungkook sat up.

"That's not.. its not that I don't want pups with him , its just that it isn't the right time. "

"Taehyung won't understand all that, Jungkook. " Yoongi shrugged.

"His idea of an alpha, of a family, they're all very different from ours. In Taehyung's pack, the alpha mated as many omegas as they wanted , got them pregnant and then left them to raise their pups all alone. Taehyung doesn't think you'll have anything to do with him or the pups

after he gives birth to them. He will love the pups with all his heart, yes. but he won't expect you to. You have to make him believe it. And I don't think barring yourself from his bed is going to help in anyway. Besides, " Yoongi grinned," traditional omegas can be... very..."

Jungkook frowned.

"Very?"

"Let's just say, Ive never been with anyone so eager to please, in my entire life." Yoongi smirked. "And don't ask me more."

Jungkook felt a pulse of excitement at that. He had a very lovely vision of Taehyung, naked and on his knees,

asking how he couldn't please him. Blood rushed to his lower body and he Crosse his legs, shifting awkwardly.

"So you think I should give in and just sleep with him?"

"Don't act like you don't want to rail him into next week, mouthy brats are exactly your type." Yoongi laughed.

Jungkook flushed at that, glaring at the alpha before shifting his focus back to pack matters. He glanced a couple of times at Taehyung, his mind going in circles.

Did Taehyung really think Jungkook would just abandon him after getting him pregnant?

He sighed, exhausted.

It was very clear that Taehyung's upbringing had instilled some very wrong ideas in him and Jungkook really wanted to change those. But Yoongi was right . He couldn't do that when Taehyung himself didn't understand how wrong and harmful his ideas were.

And the only way

to make him see the wrong, would be to show him what right felt like. He would have to love him and cherish him and make him understand he was valuable and precious.

And he couldn't do that by keeping the omega at arm's distance.

He had to make this marriage real.

Taehyung woke up to soft fingers in his hair, brushing the silky strands back from his forehead. He snuggled a bit into the warmth of the body next to him, lips curving in a wide smile as he purred, satisfied by the affection. He liked it. A lot.

"More, Jimin."

The fingers went still and a strangled sound escaped whoever was cuddling him. Taehyung blinked awake, frowning at the loss of touch, only to be met with wide doe eyes and slightly parted lips.

He frowned deeply.

"Why are you here, alpha?" he asked in confusion.

Jungkook looked stupefied for a second.

"I... This is my bed. You're in my bed Taehyung. You fell asleep here after we came home from dinner last night." Jungkook said gently. Taehyung frowned deeper, trying to remember.

Oh, yes. They had been out in the city all night.

It had all been very fascinating for Taehyung, who had never seen so many different kinds of foods and ao many things that he couldn't understand. Jungkook hadn't overwhelmed him with explanation, instead letting him explore at his own pace only answering his questions.

He nodded, moving to wake up. It wasn't okay for him to be in the alpha's bed when they weren't mating. He had his own bed. But before he could get out of the covers, Jungkook lightly grabbed his arm.

"Where are you going?" the alpha asked briskly.

"Im going to relieve myself."

Jungkook's hand dropped from his arm, ears going red.

"Right.. I.. of course. I'm sorry. I had them move your toothbrush and e everything else to my bathroom. You can use anything you want." Jungkook said quietly.

Taehyung frowned.

"There's no need. I can go to my room."

Jungkook took a deep breath at that, reaching out and taking his hand gently.

"Tae, this is going to be your room from today." The alpha said solemnly.

Taehyung blinked, surprised.

"Wait really?" He asked excited. Jungkook smiled.

"Yes."

"How kind. But where will you go?"

Jungkook's smile faltered just a bit at that. Taehyung stared, curious as the alpha bit his lips, seemingly at a loss for words.

"I wouldn't be going anywhere. We would be here together. This would be our room."

Taehyung frowned, confused. And then it dawned on him.

Ah.

"Oh, I understand. " He nodded briskly. " You are about to go into rut."

Jungkook choked on air, starting to cough. Taehyung frowned. Jungkook seemed to choke a lot around him. That didn't seem normal.

Did he have weak lungs?

Were all alphas in the Jeon pack afflicted so?

He must ask Jimin about this. Did Yoongi also have some similiar ailment? Weak eyesight perhaps? He had very catlike eyes.

"I'm not.. It's not..." Jungkook cleared his throat. " I'm not going into rut. I just want to stay with you. Don't you want to stay with me?"

Taehyung stiffened at that, recoiling a bit. He wasn't sure what he was supposed to say to that. He couldn't think of why Jungkook would want to stay with him if he wasnt going into rut. And Taehyung was always scared of things he didn't understand.

" What would we be doing?"

Jungkook brightened considerably at that.

"Anything you like. I have the weekend off so we can go to the beach if you like. Have you ever been to the ocean , Tae?" he asked curiously.

Taehyung shook his head, worried.

"Excellent, we can go there , then. I'll make plans."

Jungkook looked very excited, and Taehyung shuffled out of the bed awkwardly, his bladder screaming for relief. He wasn't entirely sure what Jungkook was so excited about, but he wanted to trust the alpha.

Just as he sat up, the bedroom door opened, startling them.

"Jungkook!"

Taehyung stared, confused. It was the omega from the library, the one that had been so upset with him for taking up Jungkook's time. She wore her hair up and barely any clothes, a little sweaty.

"Aren't you ready for our run?" she demanded, glaring at Jungkook.

Taehyung looked away, feeling oddly worried as he moved to get off the bed, but Jungkook's arm came around his waist pulling him close.

"Hana, haven't you heard of knocking?" Jungkook growled, glaring at her.

Hana gave Tae a pointed look.

"What is he doing here?"

Jungkook shrugged.

"He's going to stay here with me hereafter so for your sake and mine, just knock before you come in."

Hana rolled her eyes.
" You missed your daily run because you had to babysit him? Don't go soft on us now, big bad alpha." she smirked.

"Baby?" Taehyung turned to Jungkook with a confused look. " Where is the baby?"

Jungkook groaned before turning to Hana.

"Hana just go without me today. We'll talk after breakfast." He said firmly. Taehyung stepped out of the bed, making his way over to the bathroom.

He stopped in front of the omega though, giving her a critical once over.

"Do you have pups?" he asked casually. Hana blinked clearly taken aback.

"What.. no!"

Taehyung nodded solemnly.

"Is it because of your voice? Its very loud and whiny. Do alphas hate it?"

Jungkook snorted, laughing aloud and Hana glared daggers at him.

"How dare you?" she hissed. "Jungkook stop laughing."

"He does have a point." Jungkook grinned," You do whine a lot."

Taehyung hummed.

"Don't worry, when Jungkook and I have pups I'll let you play with them."

Hana looked completely stunned, mouth opening and closing in confusion and shock. She glanced at Jungkook, holding her hands up in disbelief and the alpha was laughing, eyes fond and affectionate at the sight of Taehyung's disappearing back.

Hana blinked, biting her lips.

It dawned on her suddenly that Jungkook seemed to look at Taehyung with a glint in his eye, one that she had never seen before. There was a lot of adoration there and she wondered if her own idea, that Jungkook didn't actually want the omega, was perhaps wrong.

"You really care for him." She said absently, voice laced with disbelief. Jungkook blinked before turning to her.

"He doesn't deserve all that disdain you keep pouring on him Hana. He's nothing like the people in his pack." he said quietly.

The omega sighed before nodding.

"In that case,you should take him running hereafter." She said with a small smile. She didn't like Taehyung at all, but she loved Jungkook deeply. It wasn't romantic per se, but she had always been protective of the alpha because he was too good and people took advantage of him.

When she heard about Jungkook mating an unknown omega from the wolflands she had been incredibly wary . Taehyung animosity towards Jungkook and the pack hadn't helped her worries. But she has to admit in the many weeks since then, Taehyung seemed to be warming up to them.

But more importantly, Jungkook seemed to be smitten. She reluctantly admitted to herself, that perhaps her well meant, interventions may not be necessary after all.

But something did bother her.

"Are you planning on having pups? So soon?" she asked curiously.

Jungkook gave her a careful look.

"You think its a bad idea?" He asked casually," Do you think we aren't ready?"

Hana grimaced at that .

"I don't think anyone can ever truly be ready to have pups. Its life altering no matter when you do it. What does your omega say?"

Jungkook remembered Taehyung's eagerness to be pupped, irrespective of who was doing the deed. He shuddered at the memory.

"He's very .. for it."

Hana chuckled.

"Thats probably because he doesn't think he has anything else to do, as your omega. What does he enjoy doing?"

Hana's words made Jungkook pause. a frown marring his face as he carefully considered the question. In the months that Taehyung had been here , Jungkook hadn't seen him show any interest in anything. But then that was to be expected, considering how much of his life had changed.

The door to the en suite opened and Taehyung stepped out, face wet and eyes bright.

"I did not accidentally make it rain in the bathing room today, alpha." he said brightly, moving to the linen closet on the side and pulling out a towel.

"You should meet the rest of the pack."

Hana said casually, giving Jungkook a small wink, " Taehyung ssi. If you're going to be the head omega, you must know how our pack runs ."

Taehyung paused in the middle of patting down his face. He frowned, glancing at Jungkook.

"Must I?" he bit his lips nervously.

"Only if you wish to." Jungkook said quickly and Hana rolled her eyes.

"What Jungkook means, is that we're all a family Taehyung. You're mated to our head alpha and it doesn't seem right that we haven't seen you or spoken to you in the month that you've been here. "

Taehyung looked at him, tilting his head in question.

"Do you wish it too? That I meet your pack? "

Jungkook hesitated before nodding. Of course he wanted Taehyung to get along with his pack. But he really didn't want him to get hurt in anyway, even unintentionally.

Hana seemed to sense his turmoil.

"Why don't you come with me, now?" she asked brightly. " Its the weekend and most of the pack is home. They usually have a late brunch out in the lawn. We can meet most of them."

"With you?" Tae recoiled at once
"No.I shall come with Jungkook."

Hana rolled her eyes at that.
"Taehyung ,you can't always keep clinging to-"

"Hana." Jungkook said warningly and the omega sighed, shaking her head.

"Taehyung, there are a lot of places here in the pack house that you may enjoy. We have an orangery, an orchid farm, a rabbitry-

"Who takes care of the pups?" Taehyung asked quietly and Hana gave Jungkook a look.

"Pups?"

"The little ones. Who looks after them when the omegas and alphas go away for the day?"

Hana's brows went up.

"Taehyung," Jungkook smiled gently," Omegas raise their own pups."

Taehyung blinked completely confused.

"Then who does the meals and the cleaning and everything else?"

"Our pack runs a bit differently, Taehyung." Jungkook explained carefully." We live as small units in apartments. Each mated family takes care of their own needs."

"You don't eat and live together?" He asked hesitantly. Jungkook shook his head.

"We all have our own jobs and responsibilities. Unmated omegas can volunteer to help out in the communal areas but its not something they are forced to. We encourage independence ."

Taehyung looked both confused and unconvinced and Hana exchanged glances with him again. Jungkook himself felt terrible, the sadness in Taehyung's aura palpable in every way.

"We do have a day care for the pups."Hana said carefully, reaching out a lightly touching Tae's arm.

The omega perked up visibly, eyes bright.

"Day care? What does that mean?" he asked eagerly. Jungkook who could already sense where this was going, sighed in defeat.

"Might as well take him there, Hana" He said tiredly, "he's not going to settle for just hearing about it."
