+ that Yoongi throws all of his doubts in the air and does what his heart is telling him to do. Jimin giggles against his lips as Yoongi kisses him and the elder thinks he could live a thousand years with just Jimin's laugh and kisses keeping him sane and alive.

The festival in Namsan Park is full of life and varying colors as the sun sets below the horizon, with different stalls set up here and there to accommodate the gustatory needs of the people coming from different parts of Seoul.

“God, this kebab is so tasty!” Jimin exclaims, offering the stick to Yoongi. “Hyung, try it!”

Yoongi snorts lightly as he bites on the meat, humming in approval. “It’s good.”

“Right?” Jimin giggles and takes another bite, sliding his fingers between Yoongi’s as they stroll along the park. The festive atmosphere and the red string of fate bracelets hugging both of their wrists are filling Yoongi’s chest with positive vibes, +

+ and he wonders for a moment when was the last time that he had visited festivals like this with Jimin.

They have missed a lot of good experiences in the past several months and now, both of them are trying to make up for the lost time.

“Let’s go to N Seoul Tower?” Yoongi asks.

Nodding excitedly, Jimin says, “Okay. I love the city view at night so much.”

All throughout the cable car ride to Namsan Tower, Jimin’s fingers remain laced with his and Yoongi’s chest feels so warm and full +

+ at the sight of Jimin’s happy smiles and sweet giggles as he tells the elder how much he missed riding cable cars. Atop the hill, Jimin ushers Yoongi to one of the stalls selling love locks and coaxes him to buy one for him.

Being the weak man that he is, Yoongi can’t do anything but bend under his boyfriend’s adorable pout and big puppy eyes. There’s triumph in Jimin’s smirk when Yoongi hands him the lock, rolling his eyes as the younger pecks him on the cheek in return. “Let’s go that side, hyung.”

Every railing around the tower is full of different colors of locks, marked with scribbles and words that were left by people coming from all parts of the world.

Yoongi waits as Jimin writes on the padlock with black permanent ink, and once done, the younger hands him the lock and the marker, saying, “Your turn.”

Yoongi sees one big heart drawn at the center of the pink lock with the letters “PJM + MYG” written inside and a chuckle bubbles out of his throat at how cheesy and ‘Jimin-like’ the whole thing is.

The younger rests his chin on Yoongi’s shoulder as he watches the elder scribble on the lock. “‘To live and be free like ocean waves,’” he reads out Yoongi’s writing. “You’re such a poet, Yoongi-ya.”

“Even though we’re together, I want you to know that you’re free to do whatever you want, Jimin-ah.” He hands Jimin the lock, lifting up his gaze to stare into his lover’s irises. “And just like ocean waves, no matter where you or I go, we’ll always end up meeting at the shore.”

He kisses Jimin’s forehead. “My love will always flow with you, Park Jimin.”

Yoongi hears a small gasp come out of Jimin’s mouth and the younger grips his coat to pull him closer. “Hyung,” Jimin whines. “You’re making me cry again; I hate you.”

The elder chuckles and plants another kiss on the tip of his lover’s nose. “Go and place that thing with the other locks.”

He watches as Jimin hooks the lock on the railing, joining the others as they all withstand the harsh, changing weather under the same sky for years.

‘Just like our love,’ Yoongi ponders.

“I have a gift for you,” Jimin says and fishes out a box from his pocket. “You’re always giving me stuff and I just thought that it’s my turn to return the favor.”

“Don’t think of it as a favor,” Yoongi clarifies. “I gave them to you because I wanted to.”

“I know.” Jimin chuckles as he places the gift on Yoongi’s palm. “But you know what I mean.”

When Yoongi opens the box, his lips part in surprise at the sight of a silver wristwatch sitting on the velvety cushion, the metal glinting under the moonlit night. “Jimin-ah, you really didn’t have to.”

“I want to.” Jimin smiles, taking the watch from the box and chaining it around Yoongi’s left wrist. “It looks perfect on you, hyung.”

“I’ll wear it well. Thank you, baby.” Yoongi smiles back.

Just as Jimin opens his mouth to say something, a loud explosion echoes around them as fireworks light up the night sky, blooming like colorful flowers and painting the stars with different hues.

Jimin gasps and puts his hands on the railing, eyes wide as he watches the firework display. “Oh my god!” he exclaims. “Hyung, look!”

Being this high up, Yoongi can clearly see the brightness of the fireworks exploding in front of him.

There’s a little commotion around them as a few people gather to watch the show with them. “So beautiful,” he hears Jimin say.

Yoongi turns his gaze back to the man beside him, noticing the play of vivid lights in his eyes as his skin glows under exploding colors.

There is a hitch in his breath as Yoongi feels a tight pull in his heart, the one which causes a flush to run across his cheeks and a warm sensation to fill up his entire chest.

The gift sitting in the comfort of his coat’s pocket seems to suddenly weigh a ton as Yoongi continues to watch his boyfriend’s happy face under the bright shimmering lights. Everything about Jimin is beautiful, +

+ even his flaws and imperfections and Yoongi thinks just how deeply and inconsolably in love he is with this man beside him.

“Yeah, beautiful,” Yoongi whispers as his eyes remain on Jimin.

Swallowing hard as he fishes out the gift from his pocket, Yoongi turns to fully look at Jimin and says, “Jimin-ah.”

The younger turns his head to the side, a pretty smile still lingering on his mouth. “Yes, hyung?”

“I-I’m not good with words, but…” Yoongi’s hand tightens around the gift, internally cursing himself for stammering out. “We’ve been through a lot these past 6 years and when I almost lost you, that’s when I realize how big your part is in my life. How /irreplaceable/ you are.”

The smile on Jimin’s face slowly fades as he wordlessly stares back at Yoongi, listening to every word falling from the elder’s mouth.

“Sometimes, I think that I don’t deserve a bright and wonderful person like you. +

+ And I may not be the perfect partner for you but I will try my best to be better because you deserve the whole fucking world, Jimin-ah.”

“Hyung…” Jimin utters breathily, hand gripping tighter on the railing. “What… why are you saying this?”

Yoongi clenches his jaws as his heart pounds loudly in his chest. Nervously licking his bottom lip, Yoongi shows Jimin the black velvet box in his hand and bends on one knee in front of him.

The younger gasps loudly as his eyes blow wide in shock. “Y-Yoongi-ya…”

“If you’ll let me, I want to spend every waking moment beside you, Jimin-ah.” Yoongi opens the lid of the box, revealing a beautiful diamond ring inside.

“Park Jimin.” Yoongi looks up into Jimin’s eyes, at that beautiful pair of deep brown irises that beguiled Yoongi from the moment their gazes met more than six years ago, that same pair of eyes that Yoongi will undoubtedly love so much in any world and lifetime.

“I love you and I want to spend the rest of my life with you,” the elder says as his overwhelming love for the man in front him pours out of his mouth. “Will you marry me?”

Yoongi watches as tears gloss over Jimin’s eyes, a trembling hand flying to cover his mouth. “Fuck, oh my god, hyung.” Jimin wipes the tears in his eyes as a wide smile slowly blooms on his face. “Yes,” he breathes out. “A million times, yes.”

The colorful lights around them are nothing compared to the fireworks exploding inside Yoongi’s chest as he slowly slides the ring around Jimin’s finger. The younger lets out a sob and pulls Yoongi to his feet until he can wrap his arms tightly around his neck, +

+ knocking the elder back as Jimin practically crashes against him. Yoongi hears a round of applause from the people around them, an embarrassed flush tainting his cheeks at the attention but he's too euphoric to care what others have to say at the moment, not when Jimin +

+ is sobbing out of happiness and embracing him so tightly like this. As the fireworks die and leave traces of colorful glitters in the sky, Jimin presses their foreheads together, a ghost of breath warming up Yoongi's lips, and whispers, "I love you too, Yoongi-ya."

The elder's heart brims with joy and he replies, "I'm never letting you go again."

Jimin chuckles wetly, sniffling as a few happy tears glide down his cheeks. "I want five dogs and three cats," he jokes.

A lowl laugh bubbles inside Yoongi's throat and he squeezes Jimin's hips before tugging him closer. "Whatever my baby wants."

The younger snorts and pecks Yoongi on the lips as his arms remain wrapped around the elder's neck, keeping him in place, right where Jimin wants him to be, the diamond ring around his finger reflecting off the shimmering city lights.

"I still have to tell my parents soon."

"I already called them," Yoongi tells him. "And they gave me their blessing."

The younger giggles, the sound so light and sweet that it tugs at Yoongi's heart.

"Will you... finally come home, hyung?" Jimin asks, voice barely above a whisper. He pulls back a little to run a finger from the tip of Yoongi's nose down to his lips, a reverent expression on his face as if he couldn't believe that Yoongi is right there in front of him.

Yoongi stares back into Jimin's eyes to drown in the galaxy of stars floating in them, to see the beauty of their promised future together.

Dipping down to press a kiss to Jimin’s lips, Yoongi closes his eyes and says with much adoration, "Home is where you are, Jimin-ah."
